Ashina stumbled on her way back to Cassie's room. She didn't want Gael to see her this heartbroken. It was annoying that he was such a sweet boy and his father was a jerk. Tears streamed down her flawless face when she thought about how much she had pleaded for Hrolf to forgive Orwella but still, he refused. She had thought he would oblige her request if she showed him her sincerity but that was far from being the truth. Hrolf had not only refused her request, but he had also called her names and shattered her heart into tiny pieces in the process. She exhaled sharply as she thought about the next step to take even when she had been denied. She couldn't give up hope now, not when Orwella's life was at stake.
