Author’s POV

“I lost everything on this poker table, didn’t I? Now I will win everything back. Mr. Aslan Parker. I bet myself and the prize is my freedom.”

“No” A combined scream from everyone filled the room. How could she even say this? All of them had the same thought.

Aslan sighed. “Elena, I know you are angry. You are not in your senses. Please don’t do this” Aslan spoke while he caressed her arms.

“Yes, Elena, Don’t do this” It was Elle and Ian backed her.

“Elena, don’t stoop as low as my brother.” It was Jo, who gave a hard glare to Aslan and turned to Elena. She hugged her, “Please darling, don’t insult yourself like this.”

But Elena separated herself from Jo and spoke. “Your brother had no right over me, yet he plotted my sale. My husband had no right to sell me, yet he did. Now, do I have any right on myself, huh? You guys won’t even let me fight for my freedom? Can’t I ask for anything that should be mine by right?”

“Elena, you are not something to be betted.” Aslan begged.
