(Book 2 of “Her Bidder,” For a better understanding, I’ll suggest reading “Her Bidder” first. This book is a stand-alone. However, few things are there whose proper detail mentioned in its 1st book. If you get confused anywhere, then you can read the 1st book to clear your confusion.)

Prologue:-

(Every parent wants to keep their children hidden under the warmth of their love and care. However, one day or another day, they have to let them go. They may love their children more than their lives, but one day they had to let them live on their own.

Like every parent, Sebastian and Swara love their children a lot. Their sons are their life. They both are twins and having a soul connection with each other from the time of their birth. And why not they should have this connection? They are twins.

“Benedict Nathaniel Knight,” is 15 minutes elder than his twin brother “Bennett Theodore Knight.”

From childhood, they both were having each other’s back. Sebastian and Swara were tension free about them, because they both took great care of each other. They never let their parents feel that they should take stress about them.

From childhood to teenage, they both were always there for each other. In childhood, both the boys used to tell what the other brother want to eat and after growing up also; they are the only ones who have chosen girlfriends for each other. People decide about themselves, but these two always decided for each other.

Everyone wants a carefree life, and same as others, they also wanted the same. However, their lives were not the same as others.

They can’t have simple lives because they are from the family of Mafia. Danger, risk etc. everything is a part of their lives. If they want, then also they can’t escape from the risk prevailing around them.

One incident and their lives scattered like a broken mirror. Theodore, who always thought he knows his brother inside out, felt devastated when he came to know that his brother Nathaniel was hiding a tragic secret from him, from the age of 10.

Nobody knew why Nathan changed just at 10, except his father. Once, a jolly Benedict/Nathan, just like his brother, becomes quiet.

Would Bennett/Theodore be able to bring his old brother back? Or they have something else stored in their destinies? Both the brothers are each other’s lives, but will they able to save each other from the clutches of death?)

Third Person’s POV:-

He zipped his hoodie till his neck and rubbed his hand to keep himself warm. He was standing in one side alley of an empty road. It was an evening time of winters; the entire area was having a thick layer of fog. It was an evening time, but because of winters and fog it was looking like midnight.

Black hood was covering half of his face, and he was standing with the wall support. He was standing by keeping his one leg on the back wall, beside him kept a baseball bat resting with the wall. He was looking towards the time on his wrist-watch again and again. It was looking as if he was waiting for someone. After around 10 minutes, he picked the bat when he heard the footsteps.

Three boys were coming while walking on the same empty road in whose side alley he was standing. The trio people were busy in their talks, without realizing that someone was waiting for them. They were laughing and talking loudly.

While walking boys stopped and took out the cigarettes and lighter from their pockets. They, who halted on their steps, to do some smoking just a little farther from the alley, heard the voice of the footsteps, as it was an empty road.

“Who is there?” One boy asked followed by the other two; they threw their cigarettes when they heard the footsteps coming near them. “Who is there? Come out,” They said again, but no answer.

They stepped forward to look at the person. But before that only they got hits on their bodies with something hard.

They screamed in pain, but the hits didn’t stop. That hard thing was continuously hitting on their bodies, and they didn’t get the time to stop the person who was beating them.

Black Hoodie person beats all three of them black and blue. They were screaming in pain, but he didn’t stop and kept hitting them. He stopped when he found them unconscious and threw the bat near them in anger.

“Serves you right, Morons,” he spat in anger while kicking them again in anger, for the last time. After getting satisfied, he vanished in the thick layer of fog, leaving them lying in the pool of their blood.

“To be continued...”
