Hesitation
'What is it?' Jessica asks me and punches her elbow into the right lower abdomen. A low cry escapes my lips as I bend forward due to the pain and she turns around immediately 'Are you okay, Laura? Shall I open my eyes?' she questions knitting her eyebrows and squeezing her eyes tightly closed. She looked funny with her long hair all messed up, her hands grabbing my left palm like a kid expecting a grand surprise and her legs in the ready-to-run gesture. I giggle at her and look around to examine the strange location we were in.
I pull my hand out of hers and jerks she opens her eyes worried.
'Look, we're safe. Stop acting like a kid, sis' I mock at her.
She straightened her posture clearing her throat 'Who is the kid? Where are we anyway?' she tries to change the topic and succeeds.
'A forest?'
'I see that.' staring at me 'Which forest?'
'Let's find out' I reply and turn around to get a clearer picture of the place.

"What are you doing here? Do you work here?" I heard a voice from behind and turned to look at the person who approached me with heavy steps trying to catch up. Miler climbs the stairs first and starts unlocking the door. Daniel stands next, on the 2nd step and looks at me with a puzzled expression trying to figure out what was happening to us. Jessica held my left palm trapped in her right arm like; if she left, it i'd run away. My mind was going dark and darker as milliseconds passed."Oh, my kids are home.
