Chapter 25

It’s going to be a while before I am used to having a mate. It feels like some alternate reality, I keep expecting to wake up from it at any moment and be back in my old room. Part of me doesn’t believe that I deserve anything so perfect.

Elijah woke me up this morning by stroking my hair and planting soft kisses on my cheek. He was already dressed and ready for the day. He kissed me a few more times before he told me to get ready while he made us breakfast.

When I got downstairs Elijah already had the food laid out on our kitchen table ready for us. While I was eating he got me to tell him everything I knew about my powers, which admittedly wasn’t much.
