The stillness that hovered over the stream calmed her down. She walked further from the house, hiding her fingers in the hoodie pockets that seemed to weigh on her, it had the familiar scent of someone. Someone she would rather not think of. A heavy hoodie, thick boots and a pair of pants were what she needed for this unsavoury winter weather. Xander wouldn't approve of her going this far away from the house but to hell with him, she twitched her lips in annoyance. She tried her best to avoid him and most often he goes out in the early hours of the money and comes back late in the afternoon, she pretended she was asleep and oblivious that he often comes to her room late at night to draw the duvet over her. Lena peeled of her wet dripping boot and stepped into the flops by the side of the door. She trembled badly, her legs unable to stand or move properly, the cold seeped into her bones making her almost stiff. Lena followed, the need to peel off her wet trousers pressing, she needed drier clothes to at least warm herself up.
