Xander paced restlessly around the guard

Quarters as he stood outside, the headguard noticed him.

“You look new.“ He said.

Xander hummed in response not wanting to push the conversation further but the headguard who goes by the name Gideon was relentless.

“You were employed today?“ He asked.

“Yes.“ Xander replied, feigning a smile.

“Hmm,” Gideon remarked. “I guess Sam was fired. You might not know Sam. He was a good fellow, you know but he had a drinking issue.”

Xander nodded, fully aware of who Sam was. And what mysteriously happened to Sam?

“Excuse me, I've got somewhere to be.“ Xander excused himself about leaving the head guard's presence when he got called back by the damn man.

“What now?“ He said through gritted teeth, shocking the guard mildly.

“You are not allowed to go beyond the premises at night.“ The guard said.

“Whose orders?“ Xander asked, his temper rising.

“Jack and the damn owner of this place.“ Xander drew closer to the man, till he withdrew slightly, a frightene
