I was crying by the time we made it to a suitable hiding spot. The screaming and cries from the participants were non-stop. If I had to guess, half the women had already met their maker. The things I saw would haunt me for the rest of my life, and if Noah weren't my mate, I would be the first to say he wasn't worth it.

I now understand why my mother was so distraught over the games. No one could understand the devastation in the woods. The spectators, along with anxious family members and friends, didn't see how the weak were preyed upon, to be picked off one by one. I witnessed a trio of women corner and attack a fearful omega who cowered against a large evergreen tree. I wanted to shout for her to surrender, but I was afraid of drawing attention to myself.

While I was looking for safety, I kept my eyes out for Tori and Tara. A part of me was relieved when I didn't see them in the middle of the mayhem, but another part of me was fearful they were already taken out of the game
