Elektra: Not much longer. We're almost there. When we get there, we can alert pack security of what's going on.

My mind wandered to my mate as we continued our trek. A part of me wondered if he would reject me because of our age difference and because he had been a father figure to me since my birth. On top of that, my parents would not be thrilled about our mating, especially my father. A headache began to form, just imagining how much yelling I would hear from him. It was a complete toss-up on how my mother would react.

I'd be embarrassed and crushed if Alpha Harvey rejected me. Not only that, but I would have Mark breathing down my neck, trying to convince me to give him a chance.

Elektra: Uh oh.

Alexus: Uh oh, what

Elektra: I can smell those disgusting rogues again. They circled back. They are going to intercept us before we make it to the perimeter.

Alexus: Are we going to turn around? We can't fight them both.
