Black Out

Katherine Pov

"Must I wake you up everyday?" Jade whispered to my ear.

I was glad he whispered, imagine he yelled like he used to. That would have doubled whatever I was feeling.

"Oh, it's morning already," I mumbled, putting the pillow over my head.

"Yes and you need to get up," he urged me.

"I will, I just need you to help me close that freaking window that is opened, it's so cold right now," I begged.

Jade looked at me, turning his head to the side, to watch my moves.

"Okay," he said slowly, then he walked down to the window and shut it closed.

The wind stopped blowing right immediately, I muttered a thank you to him and he nodded, still watching me closely.

Sniffing from the running nose I have had since last night, I walked down to the bathroom.

I was nowhere near okay and it was not any better this morning. Jade had his suspicions but I could not afford to let him clarify it. He won't let me out of the house or room again.

Turning on the steamer, I let the water steam
