Chapter Forty

Intruder:

Nora woke up just before the sun was coming up. She glanced over to Jace watching him sleep peacefully. She watched the slow sunlight dance across the floor and then touch upon his face. Nora smiled wondering how he could sleep so well with everything going on. She turned over on her side to look at him better. She brushed the dark almost raven color lock of hair out of his face. He didn't even move, hsi breathing didn't change. He was still so peacefully asleep. She stood walking over to the window. She was afraid for the future, scared of what it meant now that her secrets were out. Now that she had declared war. She didn't want anyone else getting hurt. She was staring out the window where a strong feeling hit her. It was like something broke. She felt a shift in power. Something big had just happened.
