Chapter Sixty - Two

Groundwork:

Polly rushed out of the closet but Nora caught her wrist, her eyes still on the dress. The images of what would come if she didn't get this right tugged at her heart and tightened her chest.

“Polly, we need to get all the Lobo’s in one room. I need to do this in one shot.” Nora said, taking her eyes off the dress and looking at Polly.

Polly’s eyes were filled with concern. Polly’s eyes studied Nora’s face, worry coming across hers.

“Nora, how are you doing this? Like I've heard what you can do and felt the power you have but …will you be safe?” Polly asked in her voice, wanting the reassurance that Nora would tell her yes.

“Yes.” Nora answered, giving Polly the answer she wanted. The truth was she didnt know.

Polly stared at her hard for a long minute and then nodded to her before heading out of the closet. The door to Nora’s room shutting behind Polly as she left echoed in the emptiness of the room.
