Goodnight:

Asher cleared his throat as the evening was getting late. After Roger and his friends left it was actually a celebration. The tension left and people relaxed but now it was late. He could fall asleep up there on the stage. He let out a loud yawn by accident. Jordan had already headed home; he had little ones and needed to get them to bed. Chance had checked out after a few drinks with his mate. Jaime had been waiting on Lyla but she gave up realizing Lyla was staying till the end.

Asher locked eyes with Lyla. He felt bad for her, for all the pain that she had to endure under Kip but was excited for her to start leading. It was like she was a phoenix rising from the ashes. He wanted to help her anyway. She felt his eyes on her, her forest green eyes locked with his. She raised a brow at him subconsciously pulling her curly blond hair over her shoulder. He shook his head letting her know it was nothing.

“I’m tired.” Asher mindlinked her.
