Chapter 15: The Anonymous Betrayer

"Good day, Alpha," the guard at the doorstep bowed his head and moved away.

I nodded my head and walked into the room as he opened the door.

I looked up as a familiar scent filled my nose, a vanilla mixed lavender scent. It was the perfect and enchanting scent of my mate.

"What's wrong?" I asked with a cold look on my face as Alessia walked closer to me.

She tried to hug but I pushed her away from her arms. She stopped and stared at me with a sad look on my face.

I glared at her with a cold look and said icily. "Stay away from me,"

"Why, Asher?" She asked, and I scoffed.

I pushed her away when she tried to hug me again. "I said you shouldn't come close to me," I said in a deeper and colder tone.

She dropped her head with a sigh and stepped backward with a sigh. She looked sad.

Though I don't like to see her sad, I want her to know how sad I felt when I couldn't find her in my cottage house.
