Chapter Twenty-one— See You Soon

Ivanna’s POV

The packhouse was bustling with activities. A bit more than usual. I was drowned in an ocean of duties that I barely found time to catch my breath.

It didn't help that Mary had her eyes on me, not giving me a slight chance to stretch my aching body or take a little break.

I dared to stand and do a little twist, but she was already yelling.

"Hey. What are you still waiting for, idiot? Aren’t you going to work?!"

I stayed down until I was done with all my chores. Settling on the floor, I took a little rest. But here she came again, fierce and mean.

"Stop lazing around and go help out in the kitchen!"
