Author POV

Gorgeous woke with a scream locked in her throat. She opened her mouth, but no sound came. She tried again. Still nothing. Her chest rose and fell. The room was quiet, too quiet.

Her eyes moved to the ceiling. The shadows on the wall seemed larger than before. The bed felt wide and strange. She felt alone, more alone than she had ever been.

She pushed herself up. Her arms shook. Her body felt heavy, as if someone had laid stones on her chest. She tried to sit. At last she reached the edge of the bed. Then her body slipped forward, and she fell.

The cold floor hit her cheek. Pain shot through her side. She gasped. A thin cry came out, weak and broken. It did not sound like her own voice.

Her eyes went down. That was when she saw it.

Blood.

A dark red line spread across her white nightdress. It grew and grew, soaking into the sheet above and spilling onto the floor. Her hand reached to touch it. Her fingers came back wet and sticky.

Fear gripped her. Her heart pounded fast an

Author POVThe warriors lay scattered across the training ground, their bodies stretched out on the dirt, exhausted from the hours of sparring. Some were still in wolf form, tails twitching weakly as they caught their breath. Others had shifted back, sitting on the ground with sweat dripping down their temples. The air was heavy with the scent of fur, blood, and dust, but it was also filled with something else—an unspoken fire.Evelyn stood tall among them, her sharp eyes watching, her chest rising and falling steadily. She was satisfied, though she did not show it. Her gaze softened only for a brief moment before she turned away. The training was done. For now.A slow clap echoed through the silence.“Wow, wow, wow. What a job well done.”All eyes turned to the source of the sound. Nightshade walked toward them, his expression light, but his eyes sharp with thought. He clapped his hands together as if he were impressed, though something in his tone carried more than just praise.“I c

  • The Luna's Last Stand: Betrayed and Rejected   Chapter Ninety-two

Author POVThe house of Sofia was unusually quiet. The silence stretched through every corner, almost heavy, almost strange. The women who usually filled the space with chatter sat in the hallways with tired faces. No laughter came from the kitchen. No whispers of gossip rose from the rooms. It was as if the house itself had lost its voice.Sofia’s absence hung over them like a shadow. Without her, the place felt empty, lifeless. Everyone seemed bored, restless, waiting for something to happen. Only outside, faint noises carried in—the sharp thud of paws hitting the ground, the low growls of warriors sparring, the rhythmic sound of training. At the center of it all stood Evelyn. Her presence was strong, her posture tall and commanding. She was the type of woman who could pull attention without needing to raise her voice. Today, her eyes were sharper than usual, filled with determination. She was not one to waste time on weakness.Evelyn looked at the group of warriors gathered before

  • The Luna's Last Stand: Betrayed and Rejected   Chapter Ninety-One

Sofia’s POV“What do you think you’re doing?”The sharp voice cut through the air, pulling me out of my thoughts.I turned my head and saw Vivian walking toward me. Her heels clicked against the marble floor as she came closer, her face twisted with anger.“Who told you that you have the right to sit and eat at the royal table?” she demanded. My hand tightened around the spoon I was holding. For a moment, I truly wanted to throw it at her. The nerve of her. After everything she had taken from me, after all the ways she had tried to push me aside, she still had the audacity to speak to me like that.I looked at her coldly but chose not to answer. Silence was my weapon this time.Vivian hated being ignored. She took another step forward, her eyes blazing.“Is it that you can’t hear me? Or maybe you’ve gone deaf?” she snapped. Her voice echoed across the hall. “Get up from there. In fact, get out of this palace! You don’t belong here. You—this powerless wolf!”Her words sliced into me, s

  • The Luna's Last Stand: Betrayed and Rejected   Chapter Ninety

Sofia’s POVThe palace was quiet that morning, too quiet. I walked along the marble halls, letting my fingers brush against the cold walls. The silence made every little sound echo loudly. That was when I saw her—Grandma. She was walking ahead of me, moving with a strange kind of purpose. She wasn’t walking like she usually did inside the palace. Normally, she would stop every now and then to greet the guards or talk to the maids. Today she didn’t stop. She didn’t even glance at anyone. She just walked fast, as if she had somewhere important to be.I frowned. Where could she be going alone?Curiosity burned in me, and without even thinking, I started following her. I slowed my steps, careful not to make noise, careful not to let her notice me. My heart beat harder the longer I trailed behind her.At one point, she stopped walking. My heart jumped to my throat. She looked around, her eyes sharp, searching the empty hallway. I panicked and quickly pressed myself against the wall, hiding

Sofia POVThe palace felt heavy that morning. The air itself carried unease, like a storm waiting to break. Servants moved quickly through the corridors, their eyes low, their voices hushed. I could sense tension in every corner, but no one wanted to speak openly in front of me.As I stepped out into the wide stone hallway, the faint sound of voices drifted toward me. I slowed my steps, letting their words reach me before they noticed my presence."Many bad things keep happening in this palace," one of the maids whispered, her tone filled with frustration and fear. "Not only here in the palace—every member of the pack is facing it."I froze where I stood, hidden by the tall pillars. My heart skipped. What happened again? What could they mean this time?Another maid sighed, her voice sharp with exhaustion. "I am tired. I will soon run away from this palace. I cannot keep living like this."The first one murmured in agreement, but a third voice cut in, louder and angrier. "Me? I won’t e

Luca’s POVI stormed back into my room, my footsteps loud against the floor. My heart was burning with anger. Every word I had just heard from the elders echoed in my head like a curse. They whispered behind my back, too scared to say things to my face, but bold enough to call me a failure.“How dare they?” I muttered, clenching my fists. “How could they say I haven’t done my duty as Alpha? Am I the one stealing children from this pack? Why are they putting the blame on me?”My voice rose as I spoke, sharp with frustration. I didn’t even notice Vivian at first. She was lying on the bed, her eyes half-closed, her breathing soft. She had been resting, but my voice woke her.“What are you talking about?” she asked, struggling to sit up. Her voice was weak, filled with concern.Only then did my eyes fall on her. My anger cooled just a little as I looked at her face. She tried to stand, but her body was heavy with the weight of the new life inside her. Her pregnancy wasn’t showing yet, but
