LOGIN"Good afternoon, Amanda," Tori and Beth greeted as Hazel's mother came to open the door for them, her eyes swollen and red from crying.
"Oh, Beth, Tori, come in," she welcomed them with a forced smile as she opened the door wide for them to step in. "It's been so long since you both came here. Was it schoolwork? Or did you have a fallout with Hazel?"
"Yeah, it is schoolwork. We could never have a fallout for that long. Plus, we both have part-time jobs that run all week. Where is Hazel? She hasn't been to school in a week," Tori explained as they sat on the couch opposite Amanda.
"Well, Hazel has been sick. She has been unconscious for the past week, and she just woke up today. And she lost her memory once again. Why do bad things always happen to my baby?" Amanda asked, her voice hoarse from crying all day. With a sad countenance, her shoulders trembled as she began to sob.
All she could do all week was watch her daughter's unconscious state and cry. They had invited the doctor after 18 hours of her sleeping without waking up, but the doctor couldn't find anything wrong, and that worried her even more.
"She was so lost when she woke up. You should have seen her. She looked so out of place. My baby wouldn't even let me touch her. She freaked out as I got too close to her. She doesn't even recognise her mother," she sobbed harder as she explained. "We had to call in the doctor, and he is checking her."
Shocked by the news, the two young ladies were slow to respond. By the time they came to, the doctor descended the stairs with Eric in tow.
"How is Hazel? Will she be okay?" Beth inquired, giving the doctor a curious look while Tori went to console the crying Amanda.
"She'll be fine. After the examination, we found out she didn't hit her head on anything, so the amnesia is due to her long sleep. She will be fine in no time," the doctor explained calmly.
"You said that the last time also, doctor, but she still hasn't regained the memory of her kidnapping from three years ago. Is this some kind of PTSD from then? Is it a relapse?" Tori asked from where she was sitting beside Amanda, her voice holding worry.
She and Hazel had been friends since her diaper days, and she was there when the kidnapping happened. Memories of her best friend looking lost and distant made her heart ache in pain and distress.
"I don't have all the answers. We need to find out what triggered the long sleep in the first place. I'm going to take the blood samples to the lab and check for anything I can find. From there, we will look for a solution."
"It is advised, however, that you keep an eye on her during this time. We still don't know her mental state as of now," the doctor added.
"Can we go see her?" Beth asked.
"You can. She's awake right now, but be careful—she gets spooked easily."
Tori and Beth climbed up the stairs and went into Hazel's room to see her sitting by the dresser, staring at her reflection with a blank look in her eyes.
As she heard footsteps coming into her room, she turned to face the two. Tilting her head to the side, she asked, "Who are you?"

"Master," a man dressed in a black robe with a fang dripping blood designed on its back, knelt in the middle of a dark room. Thick black mist encircled the room, and nothing else could be seen. He had one knee up and the other on the ground, one fist touching the ground and the other resting on his knee, with his head bowed.
"The injection has been used," the man reported, his voice echoing throughout the room. A shuffling movement was heard from the dark room, followed by a footstep.
"Has it? How is the effect this time?" a male voice asked from the black mist.
"She lost her memories again, and she couldn't remember what had happened before she slept."
"Hmm, I see. She's still not strong enough to harness it. It seems we will be needing more of 'that' then," the voice said as it appeared beside the kneeling man.
A middle-aged man with knee-length white hair, dressed in a red and gold robe, walked past the kneeling man in a flash, leaving afterimages as he disappeared back into the mist.
"Very well then, tell the people to hurry up with the production. Any news about the running thief?" the old man asked.
"Yes, she has been sighted in LA as of yesterday. We're currently on her trail."
"And the Alphas?" the middle-aged man asked.
"The Alphas have not got close to finding her yet, so we intend to redirect them until we get to her first."
"Good. We can't let them get to her first. I hope I won't be disappointed by the next report. Keep an eye on Hazel and her development and how she reacts to the injection. I want detailed information without any omissions or mistakes. Am I clear?"
"Yes, Master!"
"Good. Oh, and inform the Alpha about their mate's amnesia. That will keep them busy for a while."
"Yes, Master."
The middle-aged man disappeared alongside the black mist, and the room went back to its original brightly lit hall with several statues and art.
The black-robed man stood up from his kneeling position and marched into the side room where others were waiting. All of them were dressed in similar black robes with red fangs.
He cleared his throat as he walked deeper into the large conference hall before standing at the head chair to give instructions to his followers.
"Master has ordered for us to keep watch over Hazel and to follow the thief's trail, and as usual, we cannot engage until further instructions are given!"
"How do I look?" Hazel asked as she twirled around in front of Tori, Ruby, and Beth. The three gave her a thumbs up with beautiful smiles. The wedding dress hugged her curves perfectly, accentuating her beauty."You look stunning, Hazel!" Ruby exclaimed, tears welling up in her eyes as she pulled her into a side hug."I was so nervous when they wouldn't let you try on the dress until today, but now I love it!" she continued. "Those two really dote on you. I'm so happy for you. I can't believe I'll watch my sister get married off so soon."Tori and Beth nodded in agreement, their faces beaming with smiles."You deserve all the happiness in the world, Hazel," Beth said, giving her a warm hug. "You've been through a lot, and you deserve this much and even more.""I know, right?" Tori exclaimed. "When some of us are still looking for one, she smashes two sexy-looking and powerful men. I'm jealous.""Pfft, there's nothing to be jealous about," Beth replied. "Aren't you also seeing someone
"What are you going to do to me?" Amanda asked as she woke up to see the twins' Alpha standing over her while she was chained down to the chair."We need to ask you some questions," Leonardo replied. "And we are hoping that you don't make things too difficult."Noting the seriousness in his voice, Amanda let out a small laugh. Rather than it being amusing, it sounded sad and defeated. She sat up, adjusting herself as she nodded for them to continue."I'm going to assume you want to know why I sided with Lilith," she said with a knowing look. Dylan nodded as he shifted the other seat in the basement so he could sit directly in front of her.She paused, looking directly into his eyes before letting out a sigh."Well, I don't mean to disappoint you, but there aren't any profound or soul-melting reasons behind my actions. I needed power, recognition, and money, and Lilith was my best bet at it," she shrugged, making the Alphas frown."That doesn't make sense," Leonardo replied. "You are h
"I'll take it from here," Leonardo mind-linked Silver as he gently nudged her to the side. "You've done your part. Now let me do mine as your mate."Silver whined but said nothing as she walked towards the unconscious Jade."Thank you," Alan whispered while holding his sister's head on his lap."I didn't do it for you," Silver replied. "She was really in pain. And being forced to do things isn't easing the pain.""You felt her pain?""I don't know why, but yes." Silver sighed. "I could feel her in my head, similar to that of a mare, but it's also quite different," she explained. "It probably had to do with the fact that she had a part of me in her."The room fell silent as they watched the altercation between Lilith and Leonardo. Silver scrunched up her nose in disgust while watching Lilith grab Kaia by the neck.Slowly, Kaia began to disintegrate into specks of dust-like particles and connect with Lilith as one being—Kaia had only been Lilith's clone all this while.Meanwhile, the un
"Silver!""Hazel!"The group's eyes widened in alarm as Jade lunged at Silver with unnatural speed, making it hard for the twins to react in time. Her focus was on Silver as her hands stretched out to grab her by the neck."Jade, stop!" Alan shouted, but his sister didn't seem to recognize him.Silver stood her ground, her eyes locked on Jade's as she prepared to defend herself. Jade's hand came in contact with her neck; she narrowed her eyes without even flinching as Jade's hand tightened around her neck."She's in pain," she muttered."Are you out of your mind?!" Leonardo exploded as he yanked Jade away from Silver and threw her across the room. "Why would you just stand there and allow her to grab you by the neck?"Silver's calm eyes met Leonardo's frantic ones. She sighed and rubbed her neck before replying to him."I wanted to see how far she would go." Her voice was steady, but Leonardo's eyes narrowed, his gaze burning with concern."Don't ever do that again," he growled, his v
"I understand that you would like to keep your sister safe," Silver muttered. "But she is a weapon that's created to kill us all. How do you expect us to rest easy knowing she's alive somewhere, ready to have our heads?""I'll look for a solution, something that can help keep her on a leash," Alan argued. "I understand this is too much for me to ask, but...""There are no buts," Silver sighed as she cut him off. "We'll decide what happens to her when we see her. Making promises before we access the situation won't do us any good.""With that being said, we have to bring her here before Lilith knows what's going on," Leonardo added. "For now, she's probably still after you while keeping her eyes on us. Since both the artefact and you are important for her plans to work.""To make sure she doesn't succeed, we'll remove your sister from the lab she's locked in and bring her here. Her being here will allow us to monitor her and decide her fate," he explained calmly. "At the same time, it
"Which one of you switched out the soul-trapping orb?" Lilith sneered as her bloodshot eyes, filled with anger and hatred, darted between Kaia and Amanda. "And don't you dare give me the crap about it not being switched out!""You can't possibly think we could do it, right?" Amanda asked with a scoff, trying her best to hide her nerve-wracked state. "Why would we do something like that when we are on the same page?""You tell me?!" Lilith sneered, her aura getting colder by the second. "You tell me why either of you would do it.""I didn't do it," Kaia shrugged with her hands up. "If I did, you would find out anyway. What's the point?""Are you implying that I did it then?" Amanda countered as she glared at Kaia."Did you not?""I didn't do it! What would I do with it even if I did swap it out?" she asked, trying as much as possible to shift the blame away from herself.Seeing how Lilith's aura continued to darken by the minute, she could tell that if she was found guilty, her life wo
