Georgina Sinclair's POV:

Marius steps away first.

His warmth lingers near me even after he put distance between us. But the moment he steps away, I can sense the line he is carefully redrawing. It's soft, invisible and firm. I quietly glance at him and observing the way he fix his expression into something casual. Although I know what just passed between us was not casual at all.

Marius is giving me space and respecting my pace.

The gesture deeply affects me even though I remain silent. It is something fragile that has not been looked after in a long time. I then give him a slight smile.

Before we can say anything else, the door opens with a soft knock. Then Harry walks in again. His expression looks dry and he is holding a phone in his hand.

"The food is now ready, sir." he announced.

Then he glances between us as if he just walked into the middle of something. Harry pauses for a second before he adds something.

"You two can head over now."
