“Who are you, this place is for the hospital staff only…no unauthorised pack members.” He stares into the darkness, my frame remaining just out of the light.

“I do work in the hospital.”

“You do?”

“Yes, I am the healer. In fact, I’ve been looking for you.” I let my calm voice call out to him, his eyes squinting to see into the dark, as he pretends to not know who I am.

I don’t believe him…not from the slight panic in his voice or the tremor to his hand…he may not be able to see me…
