“Is this the place ?” I asked Alaric when we got to a clearing few meters from the pack border.

“Yes Alpha “ he answered “ she was standing there, between these two large trees”

I walked around the area sniffing the air to check if my sense of smell could pick any foreign scent. But I got nothing.

I glance back at Alaric “There is nothing here, Alaric. I am beginning to wonder... how exactly did she escape you? She is a human for gods sake”

“I swear to you, Zane. She was here. Right there staring at me.” Alaric stated sternly. He was nervous. He didn’t want to be seen as a liar. But I believe he saw something.

I exhaled and walked further into the woods, that was when my nose picked up a coconut smell.
