CHAPTER TWO

Asena's Pov

"What?." I asked and raised my head to peer at him.

It's a lie right!!! There's no way I'm the mate of this handsome and breathtakingly gorgeous man who was also an Alpha!

Damn! I thought that life had been rewritten for me and everything I would ever face was hardship and suffering but darn you... I'm about to be a Luna.

What a dignified status for someone who had been treated so lowly!! Thank you so much moon goddess for this turn that my life had taken in this course of events.

I love you moon goddess!!

The girls at the lake were filled with disappointment and anger but with one glare from our Alpha, they exited the lake slowly.

Or what... Not our Alpha, their Alpha because I automatically had another Alpha now.

"I said, you're my mate!." He growled when everyone finally left and their Alpha had followed suit leaving just the two of us here, in the center of the woods, at the corner of the lake.

Just take a look at the romantic view plus the sunset that was casting a glowy brown shade over us. Wow, I never knew that scenes from romance and fantasy books ever happened in real life.

This scene actually happens like two to three minutes before the male lead grabs the female lead in for a damn wet kiss.

I should stop fantasizing, I'm getting wet....i didn't say that. 

"Woah." I breathed like someone under an Asthma attack.

Only his gaze was making me lose my breath anyways.

"Are you okay?." He asked, staring down at me.

And he's so caring!! What a blessing from the moon goddess!!

Now all my suffering has ended, I would never be insulted to be mateless even if I'm still wolfless.

I would be a Luna and I promise to be a Luna of one kind. Everyone would love me, okay... I better answer my adoring mate before he thinks I've gone mute.

"Sure, I'm alright." I answered and I felt the color rush into my cheeks.

I was blushing!! No one told me that meeting your mate makes you tongue tied and fidgety, well I've found out now.

"Good, you had better be okay for what I'm about to do." He said and I bent my head in a coy way.

Here comes the kiss!! I yelled inside of me as he leaned in closer, his face just inches away from my lips.

Then it came!

"What's your name?." He asked in a deep voice that my heart fluttered and my knees went weak.

"My name is Asena. Asena Draco." I managed to answer in a composed tone.

"I, Alpha Ryan Kingston of the Blood moon pack reject you, Asena Draco as my mate. " He growled and it immediately dropped like a bombshell at the back of my head.

That wasn't the kiss I was expecting! No scratch that.... This is Rejection!!!

I have been rejected by my only chance for survival! I knew that there was no way my bad fate had been rewritten.

The only thing that filled the pages of the book of my life was tears, tears and more tears.

My heart shrunk and it felt like my heart was being ripped into pieces by an unknown hand.

And without a wolf to reduce the pain, I felt like I was about to die.

"Why? What did I do wrong?." I asked slowly, fluttering my eyelids as I looked up to stare at him.

"You dare to question my decision, well you're still hurting and an answer might help you heal faster since you don't have a wolf." He commented but it sounded more like a scoff.

Wait one second! How did he know that I was wolfless? Perhaps he could know from being an Alpha but that was just the reason why he rejected me.

Gosh, people were so pathetic but my life...my life was miserable.

What am I supposed to do now?

Just then flashes of what we were told at the mating convention slipped into my memory.

"Whoever is unable to wolf out would as well be unable to find a mate!." The priestess declared and eyes turned in my direction.

This was exactly what she was talking about, my mate would never accept me.

All my hopes of getting a mate had been shattered from the moment those words escaped her lips but when I had first seen him...I thought there had at least been some hopes.

Gosh, this is so unbearable.

"Fine, okay. You don't even need to answer, just leave." I said with a scrunched up and defiant look on my face.

This man was ridiculous!!!

"Don't talk to me like that, well you should at least be grateful to the goddess for blessing you with an incredible look. " He said and started gazing dreamily at my face. That's the only thing people acknowledged me for! The beauty.

I wish I didn't have such a pretty face.

"I said, I don't want to hear any more things from you. We're separated and I'm rejected so it's better we go our separate ways." I said and stood up trying to stabilize my feet and balance as I walked farther away from him. 

"And where do you think you're going?." He yelled from behind me and before I would get an opportunity to say any word, I was pinned to the floor.

"That shouldn't be any of your business.* I retorted but with fear and trembling as my whole body was jittering and fidgety.

"Well, it isn't until I decide to make it my business and I just made up my mind, you're coming with me Asena." He growled and my eyes twitched.

You rejected me and now you want to completely ruin me by bringing back your rejected to your pack. That's what I actually yelled at the back of my mind.

"As I can see, You don't have much of a choice. No one cares about a wolfless being, I don't either but I can't let your pretty face lie in waste." He reminisced and smirked with a sly smile flying across his face.

"I'm not going anywhere with you!." I managed to say trying my best to withhold the tears that were threatening to fall off.

"Okay." He said and stood up abruptly.

I thought he had finally condescended and would let me be but no, just as he clapped his hands... Some men who looked like royal hands surfaced and began to bound my legs and feets.

"What are you doing?." I argued as I wrestled to set myself free.

"Taking you home baby as my toy." He replied with a cunning smile on his face as he ran his hands down my nipples.

Did he just say his toy? As in his sex toy.

Asena, you're done!!

Though I wasn't going to give up without giving them a fight, before I could say a word, darkness started creeping in and I spaced out.

The only thing I registered was that I was being taken by Alpha Ryan back to his pack as his sex toy.
