Earlier that morning, I waited until Lan had left before I sprang down from bed, rushing over to the closet where I kept away a few plain blankets.

I'd had the whole night to consider what I was about to do, and in order to set it to motion I needed some money, pronto. On our way down to Lev's the other day, I'd caught sight of some exotic embroideries placed on display.

I looked down at the plain blankets before me now. If I could just make this into something worth paying money for...

Lan was set to leave in about three days--if he made enough money from his mining job.
