SOMETHING WARM AND STRANGE

I was exhausted, weak and my entire body begged for a rest. Unfortunately it wasn't getting it. There was still a lot more to do.

I looked at the heaped plates before me. I wondered if they fed the whole pack. How did they always have this huge amount of plates to wash each day?

It wasn't my turn to wash the dishes. Meanie and her friends had made me do it. I was doing their work alongside mine. The only time they did their work was only when the elder servants supervised us.

It had been four days since I became a servant in Harrow Wood pack. Five days since I left Blood Moon pack.

"Consider yourself lucky you haven't been sent to the slave quarters. Be grateful the king has allowed you to be a servant. If you challenge us, we will make you go there…" Meanie had said to me when I came back from the Lycan king's quarters.

"Now tell me, what did you discuss with the king? You are coming back from his quarters…"

I looked at them and greatly wished the burden from meeting t
