I had no intention of harboring hatred toward her. Nonetheless, when I heard the word “beg” from her mouth, the memories of the dark past kept flashing back before my eyes — the days when I begged royals to spare me and my mother... that scene was like a fresh wound that would never heal.

My mother died because of the tyranny of the royals — and it was probably the reason I vowed to myself that I would beg no one again. No one could make me... The biggest reason that put me where I was today was their atrocity.

If there was someone I detested profoundly, it was, without a doubt, my very own father. Nobody knew the endeavors I overcame or the roads I traversed on the path to accomplishing my goals; I kept those things a mystery from everyone—even to my mother. Because my father, the former King of the Lycans, turned me like this after he threw my mother out of the palace after he got her pregnant for the simple reason she came not from a royal family. He cast u
