CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE

The next day seemed to arrive faster on a whim. No sooner had Emilia closed her eyes in slumber did the morning rising bell go off in a distance and even when she hissed and snuggled deeper into the covers to feign she didn't hear the bell, it didn't take long before her window curtains were not-so-kindly yanked apart to reveal the callous sun and as Emilia grabbed the covers to shield her blinding eyes, Betty's voice rang out.

"Wake up, Ms, the King has asked me to make sure you are prepared before the entrance of Mrs. Worthington who is to become your new teacher." Emilia peeked from the covers, her heart lurching as she slowly realized it was indeed the day she was to be restored back to the former position of a teenage pup.

"Ms_"

"Oh, Betty, could you not have mercy on me and not remind me of such a cruel fate that awaits me ahead of a day as generous as this?” Emilia grumbled and finally sat up, blinking rapidly to adjust to the bright room.
