Chapter 016 - Chambers and Gifts

I spent the entire day catching up with the mages and looking through their notes and reports. I am pleased to find that they have made significant progress in some areas, but disappointed to see that other projects have been put on hold or abandoned entirely.

As I exit the Magical Department, I am met with the sight of my husband, Gideon, waiting for me.

“Gideon?” I ask, walking towards him. “What are you doing here?”

I look around. There’s his guard standing a few feet away from him, but the palace inhabitants are looking at him, checking why the king is on the peripheries of the castle, in a different annex.
