Rosalee's Point of View

The moment I step into the medical tent, the chaos of the battlefield fades into a dull hum behind me. It’s quieter here, though tension still lingers in the air like smoke.

The nurse hands me a bundle of clothes, I take them in my mouth and I step behind one of the privacy curtains. The shift back to my human form leaves me breathless, but I dress quickly, slipping into the provided clothes with quiet gratitude.

I lower myself onto one of the cots, wincing slightly as a sharp sting pulses from the gash on my leg. The nurse kneeling in front of me is gentle but efficient, her hands practiced and steady.

She cleans the wound with practiced ease, and I watch the red smear away under her cloth. She finally looks up and gives me a reassuring smile. “All clean. This will help speed up the healing process.”

I offer a small, tired smile in return. “Thank you. Do you know where I might find Nyx and Alpha Ellias?”

She nods her head without hesitation. “Sure, they’re bei

  • The Lycan King's Hybrid Mate   Chapter 139

Rosalee's Point of ViewI’m breathless.Jensen’s lips leave mine, and the warmth of the kiss lingers like fire on my mouth. My heart hammers against my ribs, not just from the battle we’ve barely escaped, but from the kiss, deep and fierce, full of something that feels dangerously close to love. His forehead rests against mine, his breath brushing over my face as he whispers, “We should go get some clothes and help.”That’s when it hits me.We’re both completely naked. My cheeks burn as I glance down, and I quickly wrap my arms around myself in a useless attempt at modesty. I look up at him, flustered, and he’s laughing, not at me, not mockingly, but with that warm, amused sound that softens his eyes and makes me forget for a second where we are and what we’ve been through. He reaches out and takes my hand. His palm is rough and warm, steadying me in more ways than one. I don’t hesitate, I grip it tightly, grounding myself in him. We start walking towards the medical tent, our bare fe

  • The Lycan King's Hybrid Mate   Chapter 138

Jensen's Point of ViewClaws slash. Teeth snap. Blood spatters across the forest floor as I land another blow, sending a Crimsonclaw wolf sprawling into the dirt. I don’t give him the chance to rise again. But just as I ready myself for the next opponent, everything comes to a stop. It’s not a physical silence. It’s something deeper. Heavier.Like someone’s doused the entire battlefield in ice water. The Crimsonclaw wolves freeze, every single one of them. Some are mid lunge, others in snarls or battle stances, but they suddenly stop, confusion overtaking their ferocity. A few begin to shift back to their human forms, as if the fight’s been drained out of them completely.I feel it in my gut before I understand it. Something has changed. Something final.I shift back into my human form, my chest heaving, my fists still clenched. A Crimsonclaw wolf stands frozen before me, his ears low, his body trembling. I step forward and growl, “Shift.”The wolf obeys immediately, and in a ripple o

  • The Lycan King's Hybrid Mate   Chapter 137

Ravena's Point of ViewThe air is thick with blood and fury as I tear into the Lycan in front of me. My jaws snap at his throat, my claws raking across his side. He’s strong, stronger than most, but I am faster. More precise. I duck low beneath his swipe and slam into his ribs, sending him crashing into a tree with a sickening crack. He doesn’t get back up.My chest heaves as I pivot, snarling, ready for the next attack, but something inside me shatters. It’s like a string pulled tight in my soul suddenly snaps. A violent, raw tearing in the deepest part of me. My legs buckle, and I stagger, panting, confused. The world tilts.Freya.My Alpha. My anchor. My blood.Gone.I shift back into my human form without thinking, barely feeling the grass beneath my bare knees. My hands press to the dirt as I gasp, my eyes wide with disbelief. That thread, our bond, ancient and unbreakable, has been severed. Not frayed. Not quieted. Destroyed.“No… how...” I whisper, my entire body trembling.I f

Victor's Point of ViewThe coppery scent of blood hangs thick in the air as I rip my claws from the chest of the Crimsonclaw wolf beneath me. Its body slumps with a dull thud, and I barely spare it a glance. I lift my head, scanning through the chaos, and that’s when I see him.A Lycan, taller than the rest, surrounded by the enemy. Four Crimsonclaw wolves are closing in on him like vultures. For a split second, I consider turning away. He’s a Lycan, he should be able to handle himself. But I realize he is injured and instinct takes over before doubt can dig in to deep. He’s outnumbered, injured and he’s a part of our fight. That’s all that matters.I leap forward, my muscles burning as I cross the clearing in seconds. One of the wolves turns at the last moment. Too slow. I think, smirking to myself as I slam into him with full force, knocking him off his feet. We hit the ground hard, and I don’t give him a chance to recover. My claws tear into his ribs, finding vital organs. He howls

  • The Lycan King's Hybrid Mate   Chapter 134

Jensen's Point of ViewThe scent of blood and ash hangs heavy in the air as I run, my paws thundering across the torn up ground. The earth is littered with bodies by now. Luckily most of them seem to be from Crimsonclaw but our side will have some loss too.All around me I hear others still snarling with fading rage as they fight for what they believe in. But as I run my mind is locked on one thing: get to the convoy, find Freya and put a stop to this. Once and for all.A snarl rips through the trees on my right, and I spin just as two Crimsonclaw wolves break through the underbrush. They come at me together, coordinated, fast. The first one launches himself towards my flank, its jaws snapping for the tendon behind my knee. The second circles wide, trying to flank me from the other side.I pivot fast, swiping my claws across the first one’s face mid leap. He yelps, and skids past me, blood streaking from a torn eye. But there’s no time to track him, the second wolf is already on me. H
