Dominic walked closer in fascination. It wasn't an imagination. The barren land was indeed sprouting something so small and tender, yet green.

It was a tree.

Dominic stared down at the green plant. It looked like a spark of hope and he felt it as well. This empty place could grow something so small and delicate. Somehow this plant had survived the conditions of the area.
