CHAPTER 7: Uncertain

Daniel’s POV

My blood was boiling as the guards sent out to find Athena returned with an empty hand; rage was coursing through my veins, my eyes were bloodshot red, and any slight provocation may result in the killing of any of them.

“Don't worry, Daniel; we'll find her.”I scoffed as Beta Carl said this.

“I sent you out early to get her back while I could still sense her, but you couldn't, you couldn't catch a pregnant woman after leaving with fifty guards,” I screamed, slamming the desk.

I began pacing about, my hand on my jaws, wondering what I could do to get Athena back to the pack

I'm not sure where she might have run to or how far she might have gone; what if anything bad happens to her, and she's left alone in the wilderness and dies? My heart started racing just thinking about losing my companion.

“I need to find her myself,” I replied, and Carl stopped me in my tracks by standing in front of me.
