CHAPTER 8~ THE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE HIM

Marlie hobbled behind Zhander, her hands still in his as they entered a building that was just a tad bit smaller than the one she was in before. The doors were wide open and low music was buried beneath the chattering of the many people who were on the inside. They were all dressed elegantly, men wearing suits and ties and women wearing fancy dresses. They were drinking wine, eating food, enjoying their lives while humans had to live their whole life suffering.

It was unfair, equality was something this world lacked, and it was only sad that humans lived on the inferior side of it.

“Be good…”

Those were Zhander’s last words before he walked her beyond the doors and into a place she was now scared to be. To dwell against the same people who’s been holding her kind captive for years was torturous, and the fact that they were celebrating it made this all even worst.
