CHAPTER 1: The Ruined Wedding.

Chapter 1: Ruined Wedding

Tana's POV

The day of the wedding felt like a dream until the moment arrived. I stood there, looking at Philip, recalling the pleasure we had the previous night.

We sat on the edge of the bed, Philip leaned in close to me, his eyes never leaving mine. I felt my heart racing as he slowly moved his hand to caress my cheek. I closed my eyes and savored the moment, my breath catching in my throat.

Philip’s hand moved down my nect, his touch gentle and soft. I let out a small sigh, and he leaned in even closer. I could feel his breath on my lips, and I couldn’t help but lean in as well. The space between us disappeared as our lips met, the kiss tender and slow.

We pulled away from each other, our eyes never leaving each other. The look in his eyes was intense, full of desire and longing. I could feel myself getting lost in him, my heart racing even faster.

He moved closer again, and this time the kiss was deep and passionate. I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him closer, as the kiss became more intense. We lost ourselves in the moment, the world around us fading away.

As we continued to kiss, Philip’s hand moved down and then lower to my waist. I felt a sensation as his touch sent shivers down my spine. He slowly started to unbutton my shirt and I didn’t resist after all we were getting married soon.

I loved Philip and I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life. His touch was electric, sending a jolt through my body with every movement. He pulled my shirt open slowly revealing my bare skin.

"Kiss me, Phil," I whispered as I looked at his face.

Philip pressed his lips against mine, gently parting my mouth with his tongue. I moaned, pulling his body tightly against mine, skin to skin. There was no teasing, no holding back anymore.

"Yes, I want to feel you. All of you," He muttered, his lips now exploring my lower lip while his fingers ran through my hair. The other hand rested on my breast, the thumb teasing my nipple.

He kissed my ear, whispering, "I don’t want either of us to ever forget this night….”

The priest’s voice interrupted the moment, and I smiled, realizing I was about to spend my life with the man I loved. Our passionate night was just the beginning of something beautiful.

I looked at him with love, hoping to see the same affection in his eyes. But his gaze stayed distant lost in a place I couldn’t reach.

When it came to Philip's turn to speak the vows, the air seemed to freeze. Everyone leaned in, waiting for his words, expecting the sweet promises of love. But what came next shattered everything.

“I…I can’t do this.” Philip said, his voice barely audible, yet it echoed through the stunned silence in the room.

My heart crashed and I couldn’t help but ask. “Philip, what’s wrong? Please, tell me.”

He hesitated, avoiding my gaze. "I can't go through with it, Tana. I'm sorry," He replied, his words hanging heavy in the air.

Confusion clouded my mind, and hurt etched itself across my face. "But why? What changed?" I pleaded, searching desperately for answers.

“I can’t explain it now, Tana. I just can’t!” Philip said, his voice trembling with emotion, though I couldn’t identify what it was.

My eyes watered as I understood what he was saying. The crowd whispered, sounding puzzled, and my stepsister, Veronica stepped forward, her voice sharp with anger.

"Tana, you used that bond thing, didn't you? To steal him away from me, leaving my child without a father!" Veronica accused me, her words were like a knife in the air.

“No! That’s not true, Veronica.” I tried to explain, but it felt like no one was listening.

Confusion spread through the crowd, growing louder with questions.

“How could he do that?” someone said, the doubt growing stronger.

Some people agreed with Veronica, repeating her accusation like a mantra. Other were stunned, their voices hushed with surprise.

“This can’t be real.” one person said, the disbelief and shock clear in their voice.

Veronica seized the moment, her voice filled with anguish. "He marked me, Tana! He can't marry you."

Philip's confirmation shattered everything. I couldn't speak, my lips shaking, trying to find words to explain. But I felt lost, like everything was falling apart.

"Why, Philip? Please tell me why," I pleaded, tears welling up in my eyes.

"I can't marry you, Tana. I'm sorry," Philip said, his voice heavy with regret.

"But what did I do…..? I…. didn't… mean.. to hurt… anyone," I stammered, feeling the weight of his decision crushing me.

"It's not about that, Tana. I just can't," Philip replied, his words leaving me more confused.

His words felt like a stab in my heart, making it hard to breathe. "You want to call off the wedding? But... but why?" I questioned, my voice breaking.

"I have to," Philip said, sounding sure, but I didn't understand why.

Then, Philip went to Veronica to make her feel better. But after that, he told me he didn't want to marry me anymore, and as if that wasn't enough, he went on to reject me in front of everyone.

The pain I felt was so unbearable, I wanted to say something but words failed me. Tears started to fall from my eyes as I looked around, hoping someone would get how I felt. But all I saw was disappointment in my mom's eyes. Her anger made me feel even lonelier, like there was a wall between us.

With a heavy heart, I followed my mother, feeling her disappointment weighing me down with every step. Tears filled my eyes, blurring everything, mixing with the broken pieces of what was supposed to be my happiest day.

Today was supposed to be full of joy, but it turned into a nightmare. My heart hurt, and I had so many questions with no answers.

The door closed behind me, shutting out the mess that was my wedding day. It felt like I was leaving behind all the happiness, surrounded only by the painful truth.
