One Hundred-Twenty-One

As I make it to the outer door, I again crack it slightly and peek out. The further I can get away without raising the alarm, the better for me and my son. When I see that the way is clear, I slowly slip out and shiver as a gust of wind hits me. I look up at the sky and realise that wherever he has this camp; it is almost winter, and this place seems to be the place it hits first.

I make my way, ducking behind bits and pieces whenever I see or hear a guard coming my way. As I crouch down behind a pile of old wooden box crates, a pair of guards walk past me. I am surprised that not one of them can smell me. My son wriggles a little in my arms and as I move the jacket I am wearing to look at him, I realise then that maybe my scent is covered as my panther and my Lycan are still under the influence of the drug the healer gave me.
