Sierra POV

"it's because he has a child" A familiar voice said. Lucy.

"What"the other lady responded.

"My mind went blank,I could not believe my ears.

"He is only marrying her because he needs someone to take care of his child"Lucy talked arrogantly.

"How do you know he has a child "one of them asked her.

"Does that even matter" lady two answered lady one.

"Why else do you think Lucas Luciano will marry Sierra"Lucy said arrogantly.

"That is true, her family's business is basically going bankrupt and Sierra is not even that beautiful " Lady one said.

"Maybe he likes fat girls"Lady two said.

Lucy snickered.

"He definitely doesn't like fat girls, you know,he would have gotten married to me but he said that he doesn't want me taking care of his illegitimate son " she said.

"So she is going to be just a nanny for his son"Last two said mockingly.

They all burst into laughter.

I could not hold my anger in anymore.

"She does look like a nanny"she said.

And they continued laughing.

I felt like I would explode any moment from then. So I decided to face them, let them say those shit to my face.

"Wow"I said while clapping as I opened the door "You lot have a lot to say about me"

"Well,it is my engagement ceremony so I guess it is about me"I said smiling at them.

"So you were evesdropping on our conversation "Lucy said angrily.

"Your conversation that is about me "I told her as a matter of fact "and my fiance".

"Well then, everything you heard is true, how do you feel knowing you are getting married to just to be a nanny"Lucy said trying to intimidate me.

"Funny"I laughed.

"Did he say that to you when he asked you to get out of his bed"I asked her.

The two women with her gasped.

Lucy was downright flustered.

I know a jealous person when I see one.

Lucy's behaviour today showed she was angry I am the one getting married to Lucas, which means she knows him and her talk in the restroom showed that they were sleeping with each other.

And judging by my interaction with him,he is definitely a fuck boy,he does not have the time for romance. So,she is definitely his play thing.

"How dare you speak to me like that"she demanded.

She was taken aback as I have never spoken to her like that before.

When she picks on Mia and I while we were I school,Mia does all the talking and I never say a word to her,not because I was scared of her but because if my father heard of it,he might not let me finish my education and get angry that I upset the Giovanni’s daughter.

"I will speak to you however ever I want considering that you say trash about me"I told her.

She sighed and breathed in and out and said "well,I am the one your fiance fucks and it will remain so even after your marriage"

"Well then, let me also remind you"I said moving closer to her "I am going to be his wife not you,he choose to marry me,not you,I am what her wants not you".

"I want you to always remember that and that you will always be his play thing, nothing more" I told her assertively.

She was dumbfounded.

I turned and was about to walk to the door when I remembered something.

"And also,I am not some fat pig like you called it,I am a beautifully shaped woman"I told her.

"And I am a size 14,you know, just incase you are wondering "I said while I walk away.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,I am going to kill her"I heard Lucy scream from the restroom.

I smiled to myself.

"I have been looking for you since, why did you take long in the restroom"I heard Mia say.

"Mia,he has a child "I said to her absent minded.

"What,who?"She asked.

"Lucas,he has a child"I told her.

"No,he doesn't"Mia said to me.

"Yes,he does,I heard Lucy talking about it"I told her.

"Then it must be a lie"she said.

"No, Lucy's father and the Vincent Luciano are friends,I think,so he must know and must have told his daughter or maybe Lucas told her"I said to her.

“Why would he tell her” Mia asked.

“They sleep with each other”I told her.

“Ohhhhhhh,no wonder she was angry” she said.

"Oh my gosh"she said surprised "but if he has a child your father would have told you right?

"No,he wouldn't,all my father cares about is securing this marriage, he would care less about the child"I told her.

“No wonder he told me to get pregnant for him” I said.

"At the end of the day,I am the one left to be the nanny of a child I have never met”. I said to her.

"No wonder he was willing to marry me,turns out it was to nanny his son" I said loquaciously.

"Slow down Sierra,I'm sure he has plenty of nannies to take care of his son,he surely doesn't need you to take care of his son.

I guess she's right,he definitely does not need me to care for his son.

"I guess you're right,I am just crashing out,I mean why choose to marry me and not other ladies". I said.

"I need a drink "I said "to clear my head".

"We could definitely use a drink or two "Mia said as a waiter approach us.

She took a glass of wine from him. "Thank you"she said as she drank the wine.

You can drop all of them, thank you"I said as the waiter approached me with the wine,he dropped the wine and walked off.

"Is it not too much for you Sierra"Mia said eyeing the table.

It was a total of seven glasses of wine.

"I can take it, besides I need to clear my head"I said to her drowning myself in the wine.

"Well, maybe he just needs a wife urgently or maybe he likes you"she said nudging me with her shoulder.

I chuckled.

  • The Mafia Boss Obsession    Chapter 29

SIERRA POV Three days had passed since my conversation with Lucas. Three days since I walked out of his office feeling like my entire understanding of my father had been ripped apart. I still hadn’t completely recovered from it. I had barely spoken to my father since then. Not that he wanted to speak to me except it had to do with the wedding. Not because I hated him. That was the confusing part. I didn’t hate him. I was angry. Hurt. Disappointed. But somewhere underneath all of that, there I am still the little girl who remembered him holding her hand while crossing the street. The little girl who used to believe her father could do no wrong. The little girl whose her father was always the hero. Maybe that was why his betrayal hurt so much.

  • The Mafia Boss Obsession    Chapter 28

LUCAS POV Three days had passed since Sierra came to my office. Three days since I had watched the realization of what her father had done settle across her face. I should have forgotten about it. But I couldn’t. Instead, I found myself thinking about her more than I cared to admit. Not because I felt sorry for her. At least, that was what I told myself. I had seen plenty of people make deals they regretted some didn’t regret. I had seen fathers sacrifice sons, brothers betray brothers, and men sell their closest friends for money. Edward was no different. He had simply found a different currency. His daughter. I sat behind my desk, staring at the report in front of me. The warehouse had been quiet for the last two days. Too quiet. No unusual mo

  • The Mafia Boss Obsession    Chapter 27

LUCAS POV A few seconds later, the door opened again. And Sierra walked into the room. My eyes moved over her before I could stop them. She wore a top and trouser. The top hugged her body perfectly, following the curve of her waist and the trouser highlighting the shape of her hips. It was elegant, but far more revealing than necessary for a visit to my office. The fabric clung to her in all the right places, drawing attention to every curve she seemed completely unaware she was displaying. I tried to look away. I failed. My gaze lingered longer than it should have, tracing the way the dress shaped her figure before slowly moving back to her face. I couldn’t take my eyes off her. So she had finally decided to do what her father asked of her. He had sent her here to seduce me and apparently not subtle ab

  • The Mafia Boss Obsession    Chapter 26

LUCAS POVThe report didn't make sense. The numbers didn’t make sense.I stared at the report spread across my desk, my fingers tapping slowly against the polished wood.Three shipments. All through the same routes.Three different dates.Yet whoever was watching them had made the same mistake. They had followed the same pattern. My eyes narrowed.I picked up the first report and read it again. The shipment had left the southern warehouse at 11:40 p.m.It was supposed to go through the western warehouse but it was being followed so I changed the route. It was supposed to reach the harbor by 2:00 a.m.It never did.It was an hour late. The second shipment had followed almost the exact same route two weeks later. And the third…The third had been almost two hours late. Someone was studying my shipment patterns. That wasn’t unusual. In my world, people were always watching.Competitors wanted information. Enemies wanted weaknesses. Men who wanted what belonged to me were constantly s

SIERRA POV “Yes.” His answer came so quickly and coldly that it hurt even more. I looked at him. There wasn’t even a hint of regret in his eyes. “And that is why you will do everything I ask of you,” he added. I stared at him for a long moment. I wanted to scream. I wanted to tell him that I wasn’t a property. Neither his nor my father’s. That I wasn’t something to sell and be bought. That Lucas had no right to own me. But then I remembered the man he had killed. I remembered exactly what Lucas was capable of.

  • The Mafia Boss Obsession    Chapter 24

SIERRA POV “I told you before, my father asked me to come,” I said smugly. Lucas stared at me for a few seconds, his expression unreadable. Then his jaw tightened. “Why don’t you drop that bullshit?” My smugness immediately disappeared. “You are here because your father wants to use you to control me,” he said, his voice low and serious. “But that wouldn’t work.” I swallowed. “So…” He leaned back slightly, his eyes never leaving mine. “DO NOT LIE TO ME and tell me what you know about it.” The look on his face made something inside me freeze. For a brief moment, I was no longer sitting across from Lucas. I was back at the Lucchese wedding ceremony. Back to the night I had witnessed him kill a man at a ceremony. The scream of the man he stabbed with a cutlery.
