Joe's Affliction

One of the villagers splashes a bucket full of water on Joe, whose's tied to two big bamboos pinned on a field in the middle of the village. His hands are spread apart in form of a crucifix, with his knees on the rough sands of the ground. His shirtless and almost naked, as the only thing that saves him from complete nakedness is his underwear.

Joe opens his eyes to the early morning sun and draws a deep breath. He bows his head again in exhaustion, every single neuron in his body heralds the agony of affliction.

"This is why strangers should not be allowed in the village. We were happy people, now all of a sudden now we have murderers in our midst," an old man in the village discusses the issue with his friends. It seems he hates the idealogy of entertaining visitors.
