I arrived at the scene far too late.

I received the call after extracting the hard truth from the businessman’s face. Mr. Gandulf lay on the floor of the V.I.P. room, unconscious as our little struggle ceased. I had knocked him out when he tried to escape the room.

I learned the ugly truth.

The truth that Letty… can no longer be found.

Letty had been sold to Gandulf on the night I had left her in the bar. The sinking feeling of having to let Letty go back in AngelHaven was not for naught. I shouldn’t have brought her back to the den of wolves.

This was all my fault.

I grabbed Mr. Gandulf’s phone for evidence. There, multiple photos of AngelHaven’s women were ridiculed and slain. Mr. Gandulf was not just a businessman. He consumes gore media of people torturing women, and his gallery is full of them.

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   Shoot A Devil

BRUSCELLA APARTI BAR“Welcome to Aparti, Mr. Gandulf.”Davide Hail wore a light-hearted smile as one of his wealthiest clients finally arrived. Mr. Gandulf was a stout, squeaky man with meaty and sweaty hands that were either in his pockets or on another woman’s backside. And tonight, his hands were on the latter. He shared a greedy grin as two women in sultry, exposed outfits whispered in his ear, which made him giggle a bit. He looks at Davide and signals his bodyguard to hand him a check.“I only came here to pick up what I ask you for, Hail.” “Of course, Mr. Gandulf.” Davide stepped aside and received the check with a big smile on his face. “Sorry for the wait.”“You were supposed to deliver her to my house. Such inconvenience.” Mr. Gandulf complained as he retired to the couch of a V.I.P. room that Davide booked for him.Davide shut the door behind them and continued that welcoming smile despite his dead eyes. “There was a little bit of a problem with the shipment, that’s all.”

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   Speak

“Why are you keeping me here?!” Lauren screamed at the top of her lungs, but no one could hear a single thing. She was kept in the catacombs of Novair’s manor, heavily guarded by sentried steel gates. Her voice would not escape the walls but echoed back to her like a haunting sound.A reminder that no matter how broken her vocal cords would get, no matter the people inside the room— none would bat an eye for her.I observed Sebastian extracting information from her. The male carefully did not touch her, but he did make her feel helpless. As desperation grew and Sebastian lisped every heinous sin she committed, it dawned on Lauren that those sins shouldn’t be let out in public.“Sixteen women being sent for the past eight months, one every two weeks. Do you realize that this is blood on your hands?”Lauren shook her head, sweat washing her already puffy face, “I didn’t kill them. I only told them who the girls were in tonight!”“Sounds similar.” Sebastian shrugged, giving no damn about

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   What It Meant to Hunt

I stayed up all night thinking about Sebastian’s words.I didn’t know why a part of me believed that he had an ounce of affection for me.It seemed so natural. Him taking me home. Him bringing me into the banquet as his woman. Him always there to save me like a knight in shining armor. Even the thought of liking him was not something I had fathomed in my mind. How careless was I? I had a promise to Lily.I had promised to avenge her and seek justice, not to lounge around and bask in the warmth of affection.Sebastian and I didn’t talk until the morning. Alessio, the only person I could speak to in that cursed mansion, was the one who relayed updates about Sebastian’s findings instead. Not a single word from Sebastian himself. So this is what it feels like to be rejected?I remembered the times I pushed Sebastian’s advances away because I wasn’t ready to love another man after my life had shattered into pieces. For some reason, I wanted to go back to the past and take up his offer inst

Sebastian took a hold of my palms and pulled me out of the police station. Waiting near the car was Alessio, clearly pulled out from his beauty sleep with his sleeping mask still pushed up into his mess of curls and those puffy eyes blinking under the streetlight.Sebastian yanked the car door open without a word. His grip on me loosened, but the tension between us thickened. He wouldn’t even look at me.He was angry. Again. And I didn’t blame him.“What did you do?” Alessio hissed under his breath, pulling me aside as Sebastian slammed the door shut and circled around to the driver’s seat.“I was rescuing a client,” I whispered. “Things got messy. Police showed up. I might go to jail.”Alessio’s brows shot up. He glanced warily at the station, where Officer Reyes now stood under the glow of the entrance light, arms crossed, clearly watching us. The intensity of his stare burned the back of my skull.“Ugh… it seems like I’m gonna have to strike a deal with whoever’s in charge here,” A

Officer Reyes cuffed my hands and brought me into the backseat of his police car. The cold metal around my wrists bit into my skin, a reminder that my freedom was now someone else’s to decide. I twisted toward him as Christina was pulled away to sit with the other officers.“I want Christina with me,” I snapped, trying to follow her with my eyes.“No,” Reyes replied without looking back. His tone was clipped. Final.I glared out the window, my breath fogging up the glass.“Where are you taking me?”“To my office,” he answered, turning the steering wheel without sparing me a glance.“You’re not going to detain me, are you?”“You’ve hurt people,” he said flatly.“I did it out of self-defense.”“Let the court be the judge of that.”I scoffed and stared back at the streets blurring past.“So I can’t defend people now, Officer?”“We would’ve swooped in, whether you helped her or not.”“And what if you didn’t?” I asked, locking eyes with him in the mirror. “Christina would’ve died.”He didn
