CHAPTER 7

I plopped onto the couch and rested my head on the arm of it. Why was he bothered now? My brows rose a bit at the sight of him standing in the room. The door closed with a thud.

I turned my back to him. His hand curled around her upper arm pulling me up. I didn't pluck my gaze from the wall.

He tugged me in his lap as he sat on the couch, "Does it hurt?" He asked the same question.

I didn't want to answer him. His calloused fingers slipped in my hair, his fingers brushed my scalp. He found the bump on it. He looked shocked for a second. Then he set his jaw stone. He looked in my eyes, "You should fight back," He crooned.

'And infuriate you more!' I called in my brain.

I blinked. I tried to study his face. He was repenting over it. I stayed calm in his arms. The silence fell. I didn't know what he was expecting. I was sure he wouldn't hurt me but I couldn't swallow it without feeling pain. I wanted to change my option. It was the third time he
