Prologue

"I will make sure that your parents get to know that their daughter is no longer alive, and to believe this news, they will soon be receiving a dead body that would be resembling you," His words sent shivers down my spine.

Did that just mean there's no reason for my existence anymore? I would exist here just for the sake of existing?

No. This can't happen. It's my life and I have a say in it.

"No! You can't do this to me," I screamed at the top of my voice.

I panicked, and was on the verge of breaking down. Tears escaped my eyes and began to flow inconsolably. This can't happen to me, this can't happen at that time when I finally started living my life.

"You don't have a say in it darling. You don't have a say in anything that's related to your life, and you know the reason for it," he winked, taunting me of my helplessness.

I looked around, he and his men were laughing at my situation, making me feel more terrible about everything that was happening to me.

I ran towards him and fell on his feet, joining my hands and literally begging him.

"No! Please don't do this to me. Don't do this to them. They're my parents and I'm their only child. They would break apart if they receive such a news. They don't deserve to go with that kind of pain. I won't be able to see them like that," I cried and begged to him.

"Who said you are going to see them in future? You're not going anywhere," he chuckled.

I looked at him with teary eyes. I felt extremely helpless and the turmoil I was in, I didn't even know how to react his words.

"Imagine one scenario, your parents would be searching for you, trying their level best, not losing hope and struggling. Begging people to help them find you, hoping that some day you might return to them. Oh, how miserable they would be!" He muttered.

I couldn't help but imagine it, and the helpless and troubled faces of my parents flashed in front of me. It pained me even to imagine them like that.

"But then, on the other side, they got to know that you're dead. You won't be returning to them ever. They might mourn you for a couple of months, but eventually, they're going to move on with their lives. So that would be a better option, right?"

His words felt like a mockery to me.

"I want to go home. Please let me go. Please don't do this," I cried out, pleading for mercy.

"You know that's not possible. After whatever I did for you, how can I do this now? Won't it make a mockery of my efforts?" He scoffed.

I sobbed, not knowing what to say. My vision was now getting blurred due to constant crying and my thoughts were clouded by the fear and pain I was in.

"Hey don't cry, baby! You have to accept this," he spoke, pretending to be sweet.

I looked at him with my teary eyes. How could someone be so heartless?

"You're mine now, and you know it. You have to do whatever I say. It is what it is."

He made me stand on my feet while holding my shoulders. I was disgusted by his touch.

I hated him from the core of my heart. He made my life a living hell in just a few days. He was the reason behind everything miserable that was happening to me.

Soon enough, I felt his grip on my shoulders tightening. It was hurting, I hissed in pain.

"Listen to me now. Since, you're begging and pleading to me so much, I will be giving you two choices," he spoke in a firm tone.

For a moment, I stopped crying. I was eager to hear what he had to say. Maybe, I could have a chance to get out from here.

"Either, obey me, listen to whatever I say, do everything that I like and remain alive or I can make sure that the dead body your parents would be receiving won't just resemble you. It would be yours," he muttered in a calm tone which was enough to make me crumble in fear.
