Chapter Four
•KIANA•
"Huh Julie... What's the occasion? Isn't this a little too much for someone that's going to be locked up in a room all day?" I asked with a puzzled look on my face.
"No, it's not too much. And you're not going to stay locked up in this room. You're going to have brunch with The Boss' family." She said and I froze.
Say what?!
"What did you say?" I quizzed, like I didn't hear her the first time she said it.
"You're going to have brunch with The Boss' family." She repeated calmly.
"Why? And who is this "Boss" that you've been talking about?" I questioned, emphasizing on the boss.
"You're having brunch with them because they want to meet you and also because the Boss said so. And the Boss I've been talking about is Mr. Aiden Griffin." She responded patiently.
Who the heck is Mr. Aiden Griffin?! I've never heard of that name in the twenty years that I've spent on Earth.
"Uhm... Okay." I sighed.
"Is it mandatory for me to go for brunch? Can my food be brought to me?" I asked, hoping that I could skip meeting with "The Boss' Family".
"Unfortunately, no. You have to go for brunch and get to meet the Family." She uttered and a defeated sigh left my mouth.
"Fine... Then we better go now and face the Family. I'm starving anyway." I said and stood up from the vanity chair.
"Lead the way." I told Julie after I had moved away from the dressing area. I walked behind her as she walked towards the door, she opened it and stepped out and I followed behind her. The first thing I saw after I stepped out were two men in black. They were standing on either side of the door and I figured out that they were guards situated there to stop me from escaping. I bet it wouldn't be possible to escape if I'm locked in though. Extra security, nice one.
Julie walked ahead of me while I fell into step behind her. I kept looking around, gawking at almost everything I saw because they all looked expensive and they were all tasteful. I didn't see any picture frame though. I had hoped that I could see one so that I could have an idea of what "The Boss" looked like. But I saw none. There were guards situated in almost every corner too. The security sure is tight here. I wouldn't be able to escape if I tried.
We finally arrived at the dinning room and three people were already seated. The room had a long dining table with eight chairs surrounding it. I could see series of food on the table and my stomach growled at the sight. I haven't eaten for over a day now and it was as if the food were calling me.
"Sir Griffin, she's here." Julie announced with a bow and every eyes snapped towards my direction. I squirmed under their scrutinizing gazes. It felt like the three of them were looking deep into my soul. The three people around the table were a man, a woman and a lady that looked to be in her twenties. The man and woman were obviously a couple.
"Hi!" I waved at them shyly, unsure of what to do in the situation I found myself in.
"Hey! You must be Kiana." The lady came over and engulfed me in a tight hug and I tentatively hugged her back. They knew my name already. How cool.
"Come have a sit." She said and practically dragged me to the chair beside the one she had been sitting on.
"Good morning ma and sir." I greeted the older couple and they smiled at me.
"Good morning, Kiana." They responded to my greeting simultaneously.
"How was your night? Did you sleep well?" She asked.
'I didn't have any idea of how my night went. I was drugged.' I thought but I didn't tell her that.
"My night was fine, ma. Thank you." I smiled briefly.
My attention was on the different types of food on front of me and I was salivating already. I'm pretty sure I looked weird but I didn't care at the moment, all I wanted to do was to fill my stomach.
"Let's eat!" The man announced. He must have seen how I was staring at the food dreamily. I didn't hesitate to dig in.
"Ohhh, slow down, Kiana, or you're gonna choke." The woman said I turned red in embarrassment. I was so hungry that I was rushing myself.
"Thank you, ma'am." I said and slowed down.
"It's fine, you're probably starving." She smiled. Oh, she doesn't know the half of it. This is the first food I will be eating in over twenty four hours.
"So... I figured out that you don't know our names and we're going to introduce ourselves to you." The older woman uttered and I bobbed my head.
"That would be nice. I didn't know how I was going to ask for your names." I blushed.
"Okay... My name is Emma, this is my husband Gabriel and the overly excited girl beside you is Cassie, our daughter." She said and I bobbed my head.
"It's nice to meet you guys." I flashed a small smile at them.
"It is great to meet you. You don't know how happy I am to see you." Emma grinned and I stared in perplexion.
Why was she so happy to see me? It's not like I'm some special guest that they would be happy to meet. I'm just a prisoner, suffering for a debt her father couldn't pay. I didn't even know the purpose of the breakfast I'm having with The Boss' Family. Is he trying to make me feel less of a prisoner? I don't even know anything anymore.
"Kiana, tell us about yourself please. We'll like to know more about you." Cassie, who was sitting beside me spoke up.
Interested in a prisoner? I see.
"Well... There's nothing much to know about me. My name is Kiana Smith, I'm 20 years old and I graduated from highschool two years ago, I haven't been able to go to college because of money. And yeah, I love writing, it's my favorite thing to do."
"Interesting... You sound like there's not much going on in your life. Doesn't it get boring?" Emma said and asked, peering at me.
"Yeah... I don't have friends. I stay indoors most of the time. The only time I go out of the house is whenever I go to my part-time job or when I am sent on errands. Also, it gets pretty boring but I've gotten used to being alone" I replied with a shrug.
"Okay..." She trailed off like she didn't know what she was going to say anymore and I understood her.
While eating, we kept making small talks in-between and I got to know more about them too. They were very nice people and Cassie was a bundle of joy. If they were like this, I wonder how their son, "The Boss" would be.
Chapter Seventeen•KIANA•The store attendant removed the money for the gadgets from Mr. Aiden's credit card and packed what we bought properly. I tried to collect the package from the attendant but Mr. Aiden stopped me."Leave it." He ordered and I stayed rooted to the spot."Get that package." He said to one of the guards that accompanied us and the guard did as he said."Our job here is done." He uttered and walked out of the store and I immediately followed behind him, trying my best to not get him angry with my walking steps because he got angry at the slightest things. We got into the car and the guards went into the car that they followed us with.Mr. Aiden started the car and drove out of the store premises and began driving down a road that was different from the route we took when we were coming. Maybe he's just taking a different route to the Villa?During the long drive, I must have fallen asleep at some point because when I was woken up and I opened my eyes, I saw that we
Chapter Sixteen|Next Morning|•KIANA•I went to bed last night thinking about the words Mr. Aiden said to me before I went to my room to sleep. I didn't even disrespect anyone and he was saying that, I was just showing Sophia that she shouldn't treat people like trash. Oh well. I snapped out of my train of thoughts when I heard a knock on the door. I immediately stood up and went to unlock it and I saw Julie standing at the doorway with her usual smile on her pretty face."Good morning, Kiana." She hollered cheerfully. "Thanks for standing up for me last night. Nobody has ever done that.""Good morning, Julie." I responded. "It's not a problem. Forget about it.""Well, have you taken your bath? You're going out with Mr. Aiden this morning." She asked and stated."No, I haven't. I just woke up a few minutes ago." I replied."Okay, let me go prepare your bath then." She said and went into the bathroom while I sat back down on my bed."Your bath is ready, come on in!" Julie called out
Chapter Fifteen•KIANA•"And who the heck are you to tell me what to do?" She asked while glaring at me dangerously."Aiden's fiancee." I responded and her eyes widened a bit in realization."So you're the little fiancee, I have heard a lot about you." She said with a wicked glint in her eyes."I am the fiancee, and for your information, I'm not little." I snapped at her and I could see amusement in her eyes."I don't have your time, only a fool would exchange words with an immature minded bitch like you." She grinned."Then I guess you're a fool then." I smirked at her and her face turned red in anger, if we were to be in a cartoon right now, steam would be coming out of her whole face."You know, you should really mind the way you speak to people. Do I look like your mate, someone you can talk to anyhow?" She asked in a loud voice."And do I look like I care?" I retorted. I don't know what got into me but I just hate this Sophia girl already. It must be because of the way she treate
Chapter Fourteen•KIANA•I slowly walked away from the door after a few minutes of listening to their moans of pleasure that made me feel weird. It was hard for me to move away from the door as I was rooted to the spot, listening to their moans and even though it shouldn't, I got wet from listening to them and I wondered what they were doing behind the closed doors. If I didn't leave there on time, I would have done something irrational, like sliding my hands into my shorts and playing with my pussy or even go inside and ask if I could join them. Gosh, why am I still thinking about this?!I was on my way to my bedroom when Julie stopped me in the hallway."Where are you going? You haven't had dinner yet." She stated and that was when I remembered that I was yet to eat dinner but I was even feeling hungry."Uhh Julie, I'm not really feeling hungry this night. I'll just go to bed now." I replied."No can do, Miss Young Lady Ma'am!" She uttered and I couldn't help the loud laughter that
Chapter Thirteen•KIANA•"Close your mouth and stop gaping like a fish. You look like you just saw a ghost." He said and I snapped my mouth close in embarrassment. I see a hint of a smile on his face but I must have been hallucinating because this man has never smiled in front of me, never. And I doubt if he has ever smiled in his life.I've had more embarrassing moments these past few minutes than I've ever had in my life. I think I should get out of here."Can I go now, Sir?" I asked as politely as I could."Did I give you the permission to go? You'll be sitting there till I tell you to go." He replied and I groaned."Why should I sit here when I don't have anything to do?" I grumbled under my breath but he seemed to have heard me."Did you say something?" He asked, staring at me and I quickly shook my head in denial."Me? I would never." I said immediately."I thought as much." He said in a clipped tone and faced his work once again. Oh my gosh, what's my purpose of being in this o
Chapter Twelve|Evening|•KIANA•I was just coming back to my room after hours of gossiping and having fun with Liam. He told me a lot of things about Aiden. They had been friends since they were kids because boh of their parents were friends and they even thought of each other as brothers that they never had. Liam's parents died in a plane crash and Aiden's parents took him in since none of his parents' family members were turning up. He also told me that Aiden was a chubby kid, he even showed me pictures of him and I felt like pulling his cheeks through the phone. I was shocked that a cute chubby little boy that looked like he would be scared of spiders grew up to be a very hot muscular man that scares the shit out of people.I was laying on my bed, staring at the ceiling like something interesting was going on there. I was beginning to drift off to sleep when I heard a knock on the door. I slowly stood up and went to answer the door. I saw Julie standing outside my room and she smi
