Chapter 9

NEXT DAY...

Walking down the stairs ready for the day, I find myself alone, except for my bodyguard, or should I say, prison guard. Drake sat at the table, reading something on his phone.

“Where is Alek?” I asked.

Drake looked up. “He had a meeting.”

“How am I going to get to the club?” I questioned.

Drake grinned. “Me sweetheart.”

The way he looked at me gave me creeper vibes.

Annoyed, I glare at him. “It’s Bristol,” I stated with my hand on my hip.

“Whatever hotcakes,” Drake laughed, looking back at his phone.

Anger bubbled up. I slammed my hand on the counter. “I said my name is Bristol!” I shouted, repeating myself.

He stood. “Watch it. That pretty little mouth shouldn’t talk like that. I have a few ideas about how I should be used.”

I gagged. “Ew.” I rolled my eyes and walked away, but Drake gripped my wrist.

“Big bad mafia man isn’t here to protect you. I could take what I want, and you are like a helpless kitten.”

Stepping back from Drake, I tried pulling my wrist free. “LET GO OF ME!” finally yanking my hand away.

“What the fuck is going on here?” Alek’s deep voice growled.

Drake straightened. “Nothing boss, just chatting.”

Not wanting to be responsible for another man’s death, I kept quiet.

Alek narrowed his eyes at me. “Bri?”

“Everything is fine,” I stated, then walked away.

After lunch, I got ready for tonight and left my room, but felt hands instantly grabbing me from behind. I tried to scream, but there was a hand covering my mouth. Shoved into a nearby room, the light clicked on.

“Keep your mouth shut about earlier,” Drake kept his hand over my mouth. All I could do was nod in agreement.

Drake shoved me away and left quickly.

Even after Drake mini kidnapped me, I still had to ride with him to the club because I couldn’t let Alek know about what happened earlier.

There, I hurried out of the car to avoid any interactions with Drake.

As I stepped in, music filled my ears.

“No freaking way!” Kevin’s sweet voice sang.

“Oh my God, Kevin!” I ran up to him but he put his hand up to stop me then pointed up.

There stood Alek, his gaze fixed on us.

“He’s really a big teddy bear,” I giggled.

“Maybe to you, but he isn’t afraid to shoot me point blank and not even lose a wink of sleep. But I’m glad you’re back.”

“Thanks, I missed it sadly,” I said, laughing.

Kevin smiled. “Well, get to work missy.”

We gave each other another smile and went separate ways.

The night started off slowly but picked up quickly.

“What’s the order?” Kevin asked.

“6 shots tequila, 3 beers, and 3 whiskey sour.”

“Coming up,” Kevin shouted over the music.

Laughing to myself, I sat at the bar when someone tapped my shoulder. As I turn around, surprise-filled my eyes.

“Hey,” Brinley said casually.

Taken back I stare blankly at her. “What are you doing here?”

Brinley glanced back to a table in the corner where Cole, Camari, and Devon sat, then returned her attention back to me. “I talked to your dad, he explained everything, but I know we can’t talk about it.”

My eyes coward to the floor. “I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be. I should be. It was not my place to be mad about the tattoo guy,” Brinley said apologetically.

Sighing. “I am still a virgin. I didn’t sleep with Alek.”

Brinley’s eyes widen. “Alek?” She wiggled her brows at me. “So he’s hot with a sexy name. Make him that much sexier.” And we both laughed.

“He’s my boss, silly.”

Brinley just nodded, but I could tell she didn’t believe me.

“Come say hi to the others,” she suggested.

Shaking my head, I looked back at Cole and my friends. Well, not sure if I can consider them friends anymore. “I don’t know if that is a good idea.”

Brinley clasped her hands together with pouty lips. “Come on, please.”

Smiling, I agreed. “Okay.”

We made our way over to the table and as soon as I’m at the table, Camari shoots an icy glare in my direction and pulled Cole’s arm around her shoulder. Which didn’t even bother me because he wasn’t right for me either.

“Hey guys,” I said, smiling.

“Well, it looks like miss party pooper is here to ruin the fun,” Camari rolled her eyes and picked up her drink.

It felt icky that my once best friend was trying to bully me. I had given Camari enough of my time and wasn’t about to let her walk all over me anymore.

But as I was about to give her a piece of my mind, a hand on my back startled me.

“Well, if it isn’t the ex,” Alek smirked at Cole’s uneasy face.

“Damn, I can see why Bristol wanted to stay here,” Camari said, batting her lashes at Alek. Anger boiled inside me. “So, are you like her boss? If you’re trying to get in her pants, good luck.” She laughed. “You could call me if you want to have fun.” she winked up at Alek, then trailed her nails over Alek’s forearm tattoo.

Alek yanked his arm away, but that didn’t stop me from snatching her by the hair. “Touch him again, and I will break every one of your fingers. Have a little respect for yourself. Handing out free pussy to every hot guy is pathetic. At least leave something for when you get married. At this rate, your husband is getting overcooked spam.” I growled, shoving her towards Cole.

Alek laughed under his breath but pretended to cough when I glanced at him.

“Damn, he must give good dick,” Camari said, scratching her head where I gripped her hair.

“Oh, shut the fuck up!” I snarled, reaching for Camari again, but Alek pulled me back.

“Haha, you wouldn’t know what to do with it, anyway. You probably run away crying if you saw one,” Cole said, chuckling.

Alek stepped forward, and I grabbed his forearm. He pointed his finger aggressively at Cole, and I had to step in front of him to keep him from reaching Cole.

“A boy that has to beg for pussy has no room to talk, so shut the fuck up before I rearrange that pretty boy face!” Alek snapped.

“Guys, that’s enough!” Brinley shouted, waving her hands at us to stop. “Camari, you’re such a bitch, and you need to find new friends cause I’m don’t with you! And Cole, you are a douche to let Bristol slip away over your stupid teenage bullshit. But too late. Looks like she has a real man now.” Brinley stood, pulling on Devon’s hand. “Bye Bristol I love you and hope to see you again soon.” She hugged me, then walked off with Devon in tow.

Cole and Camari sat for a moment, looking stupid before they finally got up and left.

Shrugging it off, I went back to my job but not before glancing back at Alek and giving him a gracious smile, then turned on my way back to the bar.

My shift ended, and Alek took me home. I went straight for the shower once we got there.

Getting dressed, I pulled on a t-shirt that I found in a drawer. I knew it was Alek’s and put it on, not wearing a bra, only panties. Then, barefoot, I went down to Alek’s office. I knew he would be there.

As I entered, Alek glanced up, his face filled with surprise. “Is that my shirt?”

“Yeah, it looks better on me.”

Alek’s eyes were glued to my dark legs. “Sure does.” He squinted his eyes. “What are you doing?” He asked as I slowly made my way closer.

I nipped my finger. “Nothing.” I smiled innocently. At his side, I leaned on his desk, and Alek looked up at me. “I have a request.”

Alek leaned back in his chair, looking me over curiously. “Okay, I’m listening.”

Placing my hands on either side of his chair, I brought my lips against his ear. His body tensed. “Fuck me.”
