He whispered to the older man,

‘Let her stay with my Marianne, she’s a strong girl, she won’t be a victim, I promise she just needs a little time.’

He gave her the space to recover but the nightmares did not stop they got worse and everyone's sleep was broken when her screaming started. It was exhausting for all his staff, the servants were tired before they started work and his Capos could barely concentrate, the only ones who slept through it were the children.
