Chapter 31

Anastasia:

I laid my head on my desk as I waited for time to pass.

My heart ached and I had to fight back the urge to sob as I recalled yesterday’s and this morning’s events.

Sebastian and Viktor haven’t said a word since entering the office. Having heard the conversation firsthand, Viktor must have known that it took me everything to come here today, and judging by how quiet Sebastian was, I guessed that Viktor might have told him about what happened.

“Anastasia, if you want to leave; there’s nothing to take care of here anyway. We already brought what we needed from the station, and judging by the current circumstances, we need nothing for now until we’ve been able to at least access the cameras” Viktor said putting a hand on my shoulder. He squeezed it gently, assuring me that it would be fine, but it hurt, and the funny part was; I wasn’t even sure why it did.
