Chapter 1 - Her Life

"You are scared, it's the first time seeing you like that!" He spoke huskily coming near her with the evil glint in his eyes which was giving her goosebumps, seeing his sudden terrifying behaviour.

Those beautiful brown eyes stared at her with unknown hatred and anger which she couldn't decipher.

"I…I…" She couldn't utter anything further in fear, looking at the gun in his hand with which he fired a few seconds ago to scare her and the result was the vanity mirror getting broken to pieces.

She was standing only a few steps away from the glass pieces while her eyes were stuck on his movements to calculate his next step so that he doesn't end up hurting her.

No, he can't hurt her no matter what, after all he loves her a lot and she also loves him with the same amount of passion that she could even die for him! Then why was he behaving like this?

What's her fault? She didn't even do anything.

"Please, what are you doing? Put the gun down, you will hurt me." She pleaded while taking steps back.

"I don't like fear in your eyes, baby." He reached near her and touched her bare arms sensually, creating havoc in her mind even in the serious situation.

"Please, you are scaring me!" She pleaded again, crying at her vulnerability as she can't stop him because she loves him.

"That day, didn't you say that you can die for me? I am very pleased with that!" He spoke dangerously near her ear and her blood turned cold understanding his next motive.

"I want to know how true it is!" He gave her a charming smile where evilness was hidden in it while she gasped in shock and fresh tears streamed down her eyes.

"What do yo–" She couldn't even finish her words as he shot her in the stomach and she stood still shocked, realising he really shot her.

"Baby?" Her hands went to her stomach on her four months old baby bump, she cried out in pain looking at the blood in her hands and she gave up on her life, getting the biggest betrayal from her true love.

Neha jolted up from her sleep in shock, looking around her to know what had happened and she realised it was just a bad dream. She found herself sleeping on the couch and she remembered that she had fallen asleep there while reading a novel yesterday night.

She started recalling the dream with her thumping heart as she had a nightmare after a long time.

"The girl in the dream seemed a lot like me but the man?" She tried to remember the face of that man but she completely forgot his face which also looked similar to her but to her surprise, she remembers his beautiful brown eyes very clearly.

"You stupid mind, you could have given me a wet dream as usual but what was that? A freaking nightmare where a man was killing me? That too when I was pregnant?" She started talking to her mind, cursing it for starting the day badly.

"This is all your fault." She spoke, pointing at the erotic novel kept beside her on the couch.

"I should stop reading these abusive romanticised weird love stories." She made up her mind to not read the book as she doesn't want a terrifying nightmare again.

"Time to start the day!" She chirped happily, clapping her hands like a little kid, moving towards the bathroom to finish her morning business quickly otherwise she would get late to her college.

It was her final year of graduation and she wanted to cherish every little moment of it but life has been really harsh upon her from a younger age.

She lost her parents four years ago in a car accident, since then she is an orphan. She has relatives but they would never keep an unwanted child so there she was living alone in a cute little apartment with her puppy, Hearty!

As she is an arts student, she takes private classes of drawing and painting as an earning method. Her earnings aren't high but not less also, they are perfect enough to let her live a good happy life.

She is liking how her life is flowing right now after coming out of her parent's death trauma and she prays everyday that no one pops her happy bubble.

She came out of the bathroom in a towel, dashing towards the cupboard while almost slipping due to her wet feet but she ignored it and quickly wore her clothes. She took her backpack and went towards Hearty who ran towards her to show some love.

"Hearty, be a good boy like always, alright? Don't bother, grandma and grandpa. I will come back soon." She told him, taking him in her arms while locking the apartment door.

She went towards the apartment which was on the opposite side where an older couple lived alone. She rang the doorbell and a minute later the door was opened by an older man in his late 70s who smiled towards Neha.

Hearty quickly jumped from Neha's arms and went towards the man, hugging him tight like saying that he was missing him.

"Good morning, grandpa. I am getting very late today and I might come a little late today as I will go out with my friend. So please take care of Hearty till then." She requested showing puppy eyes, making the oldie laugh.

"Neha, you and Hearty are a part of my family. You don't have to say please dear, it's been a year since Hearty stays with us. You don't have to request it everyday, we already know that you have to go out everyday so taking care of Hearty is our responsibility. After all, he is such a good boy." Grandpa caressed Hearty's head who licked grandpa's face happily as he was pleased that grandpa complimented him.

"Thank you so much, grandpa. You are so nice." Neha was truly blessed to get such good neighbours who looked after her like a family.

"I will be going then, say Good morning to grandma. Bye!!!" She waved her hand towards them while climbing down the stairs.

She reached the parking lot where her scooter was standing, she hopped on it and started the scooter going towards her destination. She was going at average speed while a car was moving in front of her and it came to a sudden halt making her scooter clash with its back as she couldn't press the brake so suddenly.

Due to it, she and the scooter fell down colliding with the car. After which, she had a huge fight with the car owner as he was blaming her for the damage she made to his car but that asshole owner went away, without hearing her out properly.

"Bloody asshole." She muttered looking at the car which fled away.

She picked up her scooter while wincing as she got hurt in her hand. She stood there looking at her scooter for a few seconds while the whole scenario looked familiar to her, taking her to the memory lane.

Flashback

Four Years Ago

She quickly ran out of her house towards her scooter as she was getting late to reach her best friend Piya's house. They will together go to their college function.

She started the scooter after wearing the helmet. She was driving carefully but suddenly some unnecessary thought struck her mind and she got distracted from the road.

DHAAAAAM!!!!!!

Her scooter crashed into a car which was parked in front of a very tall building.

"Ahhhhh!!!" She screamed as she fell from the scooter.

After a few seconds, when she realised what she did, she quickly stood up getting scared. Her eyes wandered on the big scratch she made on the expensive car.

"Shit! What will I do now?" She asked herself, getting scared as she didn't want to get scolded by the car owner.

So she thought to escape but her morals stopped her.

"I should say sorry to the owner. I hope they will understand that it was a mistake because of my recklessness." She said to herself and looked here and there but didn't find anyone.

So she tried to look inside through the car window to see if anyone was inside but suddenly the backseat door opened which gave a mini heart attack to her as she moved back in fear.

A tall figure got out and closed the door. The giant body scared her more whose face she didn't see yet as he turned around to close the car door as soon as he came out.
