Bayu decided to leave the two people who, in his opinion, needed to be alone. Naya kept her eyes closed to calm her fears, while Lucas held back his emotions as Naya gripped his hand tightly.

"I'm scared... I'm scared... I'm scared," Naya muttered as if reciting a mantra.

"Stupid woman! What is she afraid of?" Lucas cursed irritably.

The man immediately pulled his hand away from Naya's grip, and at that moment, Naya's eyes opened quickly.

"I'm sick of your behavior!"

Lucas stood up from his seat and quickly picked up Naya's body.

"Sir, where are you taking me?" Naya's fear grew, but she didn't dare resist because Lucas looked angry.

The burly man with a tattoo on his left forearm carried Naya to the bedroom inside his private jet. He roughly threw Naya's body onto the bed there.

"Sir!" Naya exclaimed in surprise.

Lucas's body immediately pinned his wife down, Naya's face still showing fear.

"Listen, you stupid woman! You dared to hurt my hand with your filthy hands. You know what? I want to strangle you right now, if my grandmother wasn't behind you."

Those beautiful eyes stared blankly with tears welling up. "Why do you hate me so much, sir? What's wrong with me being your wife?" Somehow, Naya found the courage to ask the man above her that question.

"Of course you're wrong, you trashy woman! Just the thought of marrying a woman my grandmother picked up from a brothel makes me disgusted with you! And you!" Lucas's hand gripped Naya's chin tightly again, until she could no longer hold back her tears.

"I told you back then, if you had to refuse this marriage and I even gave you a lot of money for you to use for the rest of your life, but you betrayed me and accepted this marriage."

"I want to be part of your family because ...."

"Because you wanted more wealth, right? You really are a cunning woman! You may be able to fool my grandmother, but not me!" Lucas immediately pulled himself away from Naya. The man stood tall, the cold aura still lingering on his face.

"Don't get out until we arrive in Miami, I'm sick of seeing your fear!" Lucas left Naya alone in his room.

Naya cried as she hugged her blanket. She never imagined that her life would be so painful after her parents died in a car accident a few years ago.

That night, in a room that looked so luxurious and large for a dining room, there was a long table with several chairs on the left and right sides. There were also several dishes that looked very delicious.

There were several people there. They were talking to each other, only the old woman sitting in the main chair seemed to be really enjoying her meal. Her face showed happiness, which made several people there now shift their attention to the old woman.

"Grandma, you look so happy. Did you just win a big tender?" asked the woman with her hair tied up high, who looked very glamorous for a dinner with her family.

"Soon I will become a great-grandmother and you will become a beautiful aunt, Laura," said the old woman with a smile.

"What do you mean, Grandma?" Laura looked confused.

"Laura, don't you understand what your grandmother is saying? Her beloved grandson is married, and his wife might be pregnant," explained the man sitting next to Laura. Laura's husband laughed as if mocking his wife, whose face had turned sour.

"You're right, Juan. My grandchild is on his honeymoon with his wife, and hopefully when they return, I will receive happy news." Grandma Louisa's smile broadened happily.

"Are you sure Lucas would want his seed to grow in the womb of that cheap woman?" Laura's words sounded sarcastic.

"Laura, watch your mouth! Kanaya is a respectable woman compared to the woman you set up with Lucas, and I would be very happy to have a great-grandchild from a woman as good as Kanaya," Grandma Louisa said firmly.

The old woman finished her meal and immediately got up from her seat. Her heart ached at the words of her granddaughter, who was none other than Lucas's sister. Indeed, her decision to marry Lucas to Kanaya had been rejected by Laura and her extended family, considering that Kanaya was a girl she had taken from a brothel at the time.

"It's useless for you to say that you don't like your sister-in-law. They are already married. It's better to just accept your grandmother's decision," said the beautiful woman, who smiled sweetly at Laura.

"Auntie, shut up! You're even her child, but you're not as important as Lucas," Laura said to the woman sitting in front of her.

"I don't care about that, my niece. The most important thing is that my life has been comfortable and happy. Every month, I can travel around the world with my beloved husband. Honey, let's go because I want to buy salad at the restaurant that just opened near the office." The woman's hand reached out to the man beside her.

"Yes, honey." The man stood up from his seat and held his wife's hand. The two of them left the dining room.

Laura's face grew even angrier at this point. She was truly furious at her grandmother and aunt.

"Honey, our position in this family will be even weaker if Lucas really has a child. Your grandmother is really disgusting!" said the man named Juan angrily.

"Grandma has always loved Lucas very much because I am only her step-granddaughter. Why didn't that old woman just die long ago!" Laura's hand clenched her spoon tightly.

"But even if your grandmother dies, Lucas's position here will still be very strong. Just look, he owns the Dinov family's largest company. He's also the one who continued your grandfather's dirty business. It will be very difficult for us to fight Lucas because he is very cruel to his enemies," said Juan, who still looked furious.

"We can't hurt Lucas with weapons or blows, but we will hurt his heart once again after he finds out that his lover has betrayed him with that idiot Leo." A sly smile appeared on the beautiful woman's lips.

"What's your plan, Laura?"

"I'll make a woman named Kanaya seem like she betrayed him. Lucas doesn't love her, but I'll make that woman look bad in the eyes of Lucas and my grandmother until she's finally kicked out of here. That woman must embarrass the Dinov family with her behavior. Yes... hopefully that woman can also give my grandmother a heart attack." Once again, Laura smiled slyly at her husband.

"Good idea. With one blow, we will kill two birds with one stone. You are a genius, dear." Juan kissed his wife on the lips."

Lana finally asked Raymond to talk privately because she didn't want Lucas to tell him about her past with Lucas. She wanted to tell him herself about her former life with Lucas. "Honey, are you going to have dinner with him?""Ray, I'm having dinner with Mr. Lucas, not on a date. We have an important meeting with a client, and as his secretary, I have to accompany him. You heard it yourself, right? Don't you trust me?""I trust you, Lana, but not Lucas." Ray glanced at Lucas, who was still standing there coldly. "Thank you, Ray." Raymond approached and hugged Lana affectionately. "When you're done, call me right away." Lana nodded and Raymond left. "Mr. Lucas, I'm going to change my clothes first.""Kanaya!"Lucas quickly pulled Lana's arm until she bumped into his chest. "Mr. Lucas, let go!""Do you love him?" Lucas stared intently. "You have no right to ask that." Lana's hand tried to push Lucas's body away. "Just answer, Kanaya."The two pairs of eyes stared at each othe

“Take your hands off me, Mr. Lucas. This is my house, and you should behave yourself.” Lana shot him a sharp glare.“I want to hate you so badly that sometimes I feel like stabbing my own heart for always thinking about you.”Something struck Kanaya’s heart when she heard that.Lucas slowly brushed his fingers along Lana’s cheek, then trailed them down her neck.“Don’t, Lucas… This is wrong. I don’t belong to you anymore,” Lana whimpered.“You have always belonged to me, Kanaya. Your body cannot lie,” Lucas replied softly. He did not accept rejection.“Mr. Lucas, please leave.” Lana tried to steady herself. She did not want to be swept away by a touch she had once longed for so desperately. With overwhelming dominance, Lucas captured Lana’s lips in a forceful kiss. At first she struggled, but the longing buried for five years and Lucas’s commanding presence weakened her resistance. That night, beneath the same roof where their children slept peacefully, Lana fell once more into the ar

Lana hurried forward, her hands trembling as she took Hailey from Lucas’s arms. “Come here, Hailey. Stay with Mama.”Lucas did not resist. He released Hailey gently, but his eyes never left the little girl. The room suddenly felt smaller. The smell of slightly burnt food drifted in from the kitchen, but no one cared.“Mr. Lucas, why are you here?” Lana asked, her voice shaking as she tried to steady her racing heart. “This is my day off. This is my house. You cannot just show up without telling me.”Lucas drew a long breath and slipped his hands into his pockets to hide his own trembling. He looked at Lana with an expression layered with explosive anger, deep regret, and painful love.“Five years, Kanaya.” His voice was low, heavy with pressure. “You hid them from me for five years and let them call another man father?”“Ma, is it Uncle Raymond who came?”Hayden suddenly appeared.Lucas’s eyes widened again when he saw the little boy who looked remarkably like him. In photographs the

Lana arrived at her house in Jakarta feeling deeply uneasy. She kept hugging Hayden and Hailey, as if she were terrified of Lucas’s presence now that he knew about the twins.“Mama, why are you crying?” Hailey asked, wiping Lana’s cheek with her tiny hand.“Mama just misses you,” Lana lied. That night, Lana could not sleep. She did not know that a luxurious black car was parked several meters from her front gate. Inside, Lucas sat in the darkness, staring at the small yet cozy house with a storm raging in his chest. Why do I feel like Lana is hiding something from me?Lucas took out his phone and called someone.“Bayu, where are you?”“Still in San Francisco. What is it, Sir?”“Isn’t your business with that bastard finished yet?”“He managed to escape, but everything he stole from you has been secured, Mr. Lucas. I guarantee he will be found soon.”“Damn it. Once he is found, send him to me. I will finish it myself. It would be satisfying to torture him until he begs to die.” A cold s

Lana walked out elegantly. Lucas, who had been deliberately waiting in front of her bedroom door, looked mesmerized by the appearance of his ex-wife.It was unexpected. Kanaya was still breathtakingly beautiful even after all these years apart. The only difference was that she used to look gentle. Now she looked firmer, and there was no longer the softness in her eyes like when she used to look at Lucas.“Let’s go now, Mr. Lucas,” Kanaya said, her gaze firm, chin slightly raised.Lucas slowly walked closer with a small, cold smile.“You really look different from the Kanaya I used to know. But your beauty is still the same.”Lana’s eyes instantly shifted to Lucas’s face, which was now very close to hers.“Watch your words, Mr. Lucas. We should leave now and finish this business matter. After that, I want to go home immediately.”“Oh? You miss your lover that much, Lana?”“Let’s just go now.”The sharp clicks of Lana’s high heels echoed as she walked ahead, leaving Lucas behind with a
