THRONE POV

My strength gave way and I fell to the sofa behind me. Trying to catch my fleeting breaths as my eyelids fell shut.

“Please son, don't spare him after everything he did to us. Don't let him or he get to his final plan.”

"And what's the plan?” I asked, breathing faster with my heart pounding.

Not out of fear. But anger and confusion. For the first time in my chaotic life, I didn't know what to do next.

Killing you once you are able to take other Alphas down and the path cleared for him,” she whispered, her voice croaky and filled with regrets.

“Why didn't you come to me? I would have killed him and been able to take you away from slavery as a mere…” I trailed, not being able to call her that anymore after knowing her reasons.

It was for me. To save me and I have been the worst son anyone would ever want to her.

" Oh my fucks! And I have been a mistake, I had said horrible things to you. I didn't even bothered to know why you were alone. Father!!” I yelled.

And she sob

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heat   The Omega Scientist Returns.

Rin’s POVAfter Kai vanished, the night was dark. I shuddered at every sound in the forest. Thorne had pulled me farther into the forest until the commotion of the Council attack subsided behind us, despite my desire to chase him and rip him to pieces for retreating. With firelight flickering against the decaying wood, we set up camp in the remains of an old shed. My brain was still hammering from Kai's words, "The Council erased your bond," and my wrists were still hurting from the silver.I sat by the fire and investigated the flames, my hands trembling. "He's gone once more. He consistently eludes capture.Across from me, Thorne knelt and steadily sharpened his blade. For now, forget about Kai. He is poison. Our enemies are more formidable.I scowled at him. Greater enemies? He knows everything. He knew about my memory. He knew about the bond. He”"Rin." Thorne's tone was piercing. His golden eyes gleamed in the firelight, steady, unflinching. “I’ve heard whispers for years. About

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heat   The Prototype’s Curse

Rin’s POVThe woodland felt like a coffin, even as the trees moved overhead. My breath was broken and sharp, and my chest heaved. My bones ached from the truth Kai had flung at me.A prototype. An examination. Not a wolf. Not a man. An invention. The fire in my blood persisted even though my hands shook when I put them to my face. "All this time... every decision I believed I made..." I gave a rough laugh. "It was never mine."With his golden eyes fixed on my face, Thorne stood close to me, anxious. I swatted his hand away as he extended it."Don't," I yelled. "Avoid touching me. Don't act as though I'm still me.He replied, "Rin," in a quiet voice that cut through the anger in my brain. "You remain who you are.""No!" My voice broke. "I am a weapon." I've only ever been that. Thorne, they wiped out my memory. To check if the bond would still hold, they broke me up. I'm not genuine at all!Like claws ripping flesh, the words tore from me. My chest ached. My head ached. Inside, my wolf

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heat   The Name Revealed

Rin’s POVWhen I moved, the soldier's knife had already started to fall.“Cover me, Thorne!” I shouted.I tore out of his hold before he could protest, my body moving more quickly than I had imagined. Nothing mattered, not the smoke, not the fire, not the screaming. I could only make out the blade and the instant that would put an end to Kai's sarcastic smile. With all of my effort, I crashed into the soldier, sending us both crashing to the ground. His blade clattered into the ground. Without thinking, I snatched Kai's arm and pulled him to his feet.Blood streaked his lips as he coughed, yet the same enraged pleasure glistened in his eyes. "You do care, darling," I said.I snarled and pulled him to his feet, saying, "Shut up."As Thorne tore up another soldier who attempted to obstruct us, his rage pierced through the atmosphere. "Rin! Why on earth are you doing this?"Getting responses!" I responded with a yell. The hybrids outside had now broken through, their savage howls resonat

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heat   The Council Trap

Rin’s POVThere was still fire in the world. As I fought against the net, smoke stuck to my throat and choked me. Through the haze, I saw Thorne pulling himself up, his golden eyes burning like molten steel, while my flesh screamed where the silver burned. He yelled, "Get off him!" and used his bare hands to tear apart a Council soldier, causing blood to splash across the shattered walls. The bullet flew passed my head as another soldier fired. As the net burned into us both, Thorne dove and used his body to protect me. Half man, half wolf, his snarl was deep and full of wrath. His fingers clawed at the net as he growled at me, "Hold still." "I'll rip it to pieces."Freedom meant nothing now, yet the blast had broken the bindings around my wrists. More tightly than any prison, silver encased me. My inner wolf thrashed, torn between wanting to fight and wanting to give up, and my body trembled."There are too many, Thorne!" I yelled as smoke blinded my eyes and I coughed. After that, w

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heat   The Safehouse Prison

Rin’s POVI pulled hard, the clinking echo resonating off the stone walls as the chains bit my wrists once more. I didn't care that the metal scorched my skin. I desired their removal. I desired his departure."Give me a break!" My voice was rough as I yelled. "I can't stay here like some pet you're scared of losing."With his arms folded and his golden eyes gleaming dimly in the low light, Thorne stood at the door. I was furious, but he didn't even bat an eye. Like I was merely a tempest he had chosen to weather, he regarded me calmly. He said quietly, but there was grit in his voice, "Rin, you'll only hurt yourself more." The chains are not going to break. They were made for wolves that are more powerful than you."More powerful than me?" Sweat trickled down my face as I spat and panted. "You believe you are aware of my strength? Do you believe that shackling me demonstrates anything? Thorne, you're pathetic. A coward who fears losing authority. At last, the word "coward" broke his

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heat   Love's Chains.

Rin’s POVHands shaking, I pushed myself to breathe. "This is poison if that's what you call love.""Toxin? Thorne laughed softly and without humour. Let me be poison, then. Allow me to be the disaster you despise. Since I would rather destroy you than lose you.A sharp squeezing went through my chest. "You're scared to let me go, so you can't just bind me! "He growled and took a step forward, his eyes brightening. "Yes, I can," he said. "Because I own you." Furthermore, I don't give a damn whether the Council wants you. If the mafia places a price on your head, I don't care. They'll take you away from me instead of my body."My life is not up to you to decide! I yelled and gave him a strong shove. He remained motionless as my claws tore his shirt as they raked his chest. He just looked at me, unfazed. He spoke in a serene, frightfully serene tone. Instead of watching you fall into their clutches, I'd rather shackle you. Instead of never hearing your voice again, I would rather hear
