Knock! Knock!!
Shit... I was so tired, I don't have the energy to face back up. The knock became more persistent, I jogged to the living room calming my breath in case I needed to fight again.
I tapped my wristband to try and get backup but I noticed that the knocking stoped for a few seconds then. Boom!
The door bursted open, I shielded my eyes from foreign objects getting into them. Hearing footsteps I moved back as I was at a disadvantage, I ran towards the kitchen sink to rinse out my face but the person was already coming closer.
Thankfully the knife case was near and so with every step I anticipated my every move, when the person got close enough I quickly grabbed the knife and swung it across but it was stopped like it was nothing.
There were only two people who could stop a blade in that I held, Master and..... Tina!

*We immediately rushed Tina to the hospital and found out that she wasn't actually shot but she fell into some glass near by.I couldn't help but think that most of what happened was my fault. I'd I had involved Tina from the beginning she would have had a different approach and a higher success rate.I waited outside the operation room for hours, Susan and Stephanie too, since they both felt responsible as well. After a while the operation room light went off and the doctor came out, I rushed toward him in anticipation."There's nothing to be worried about, the glass pierced an old wound, that's all. We took out the glass and restitched the wound, she should wake up in a few hours." The doctor explained.I felt so relieved that I lost a grip on my legs as I collapsed on the ground, Susan and Stephanie both came by my side and picked me up.
*"Stephanie spoke to me earlier and we've decided... You need to take a break."I looked at Tina confused, what does my trauma have to do with a break? If anything I should just bury myself in so much work and training that I forget whatever just happened earlier."I understand that you're confused but I know you and Stephanie knows you too," She started."You'll eventually lock yourself up and bury yourself in so much work and tedious training which of isn't good for you, at all." I looked away from her staring at the ceiling. She wasn't wrong."Look, I see you as a daughter, Stephanie sees you as a sister and everyone here sees you as the pillar that holds this family together. If you should break down it won't be looking good for any of us." Tina tried to convince me."Just a few weeks or maybe a month. You c
*It's been three days since I was last at the manor. As I was handling all my work from home, I left the responsibility of the manor to Tina and all legal transaction has been handed over to Stephanie.Which meant less work for me and I had enough time to prepare and get ready to take a break. I was finally going home. My Home.I took off my bag from the bed, picked up my glasses and keys at the front door as I proceeded to my car.I was going to miss the sound of my baby after I'm gone but I'll miss the kids at the manor more and everyone in it.I walked out into the beautiful sunny weather as I threw my keys towards Betty who would be acting as my valet driver."Good morning Adira." I smiled at her calling me by my first name."Good morning Eleanor, I trust you had a good night's sleep." I said getting into the back of th
* I blinked my eyes open trying to adjust to the bright room, the first I saw being a large framed photo of my family from when I was younger. Last I remembered that picture was supposed to have burnt marks. I stood up from my bed, my head throbbing as I tried to figure out where I was. I stumbled out the door and lifted my eyes, for a moment I breath hitched, I looked around hesterically, this wasn't possible. I ran down the familiar hall receiving greetings as I passed, I ran towards the tower, the wooden tower I would never forget, the wooden tower where it all happened. I reach the last few steps breathing heavily, afraid of what I would face if I went up. I took a deep breath climbed the last step and there he was, in his usual position, support his tea and enjoying the view. I felt the tears fall down my cheek as I proce
* "Well, if that's the case then I'd like to buy this facility." I said dropping that bomb. "What??" Both Mandy and the said together. "I know that arrogance anywhere." Stacy said coming out. I was having way to much fun than I was supposed to, I mean, it's just a reunion. Right? "What?" The girl said again. "Stacy, what are you doing here, you shouldn't be moving especially now." Mandy said running towards the older woman. "Let me go child, if you still don't get it then you're worse than I am." Stacy said. I can't believe she recognised me with just my voice. I was about to say something when... "It's all those rich people who was to take everything from us." Stacy said. "What?" It was now my turn to be surprised. "I
*I got back to the hotel that night with alot to think about, from the bad dream I had on the plane to the situation concerning Stacy and Mandy to how the letters they claimed they've been sending disappeared.I picked my key card at the front desk and headed straight to my room, I made sure no one was following me and I also made a request at the front desk to turn off the cctv till five minutes after I got into my room to avoid being tracked.I took off my jacket placing it neatly on the chair beside me, walked into the kitchen and found a complimentary wine on the counter as a VIP guest.I picked a wine glass from the cabinet as I filed the glass, my bags were in my room so that was where I finally settled down, first I placed a signal blocker that I had Francesca build me on the table. It was about 10:45pm now and the children must have fallen asleep, I should
*I woke up the next morning refresh, ready for a day of relaxation. I got up around 6am, brushed my teeth, put on a sport bra, some leggings, my smart watch, and a phone holder, ready for a morning run.I left the hotel at about 6:30am and jogged around the block twice before extending my walk a bit. I ended up at a park close by where I rested a bit by doing some stretches to loosen some knots in my back.I looked at the time and it was already 8am on a Friday morning, a few people were already at the park. Most of them stretching like she was, some were walking dogs, some were practising yoga while a few were just sitting down randomly enjoying the view.I was about to leave when I saw an elderly lady pass by, I couldn't help but notice the guy in a black hoody shadowing her, I decided to stay a little and make sure the woman was safe. That was literally my job.
*The coffee shop was actually better than I had expected it to be. The French toast was good and I would definitely comeback for another cup of capachino.I ended up ignoring everyone that came into the cafe as I ate. My plans today were simple, visit Stacy and Mandy and get the full story out of them.I have to take Stacy to the hospital and find out what's actually wrong with her, just freezing up one day out of the blues isn't normal at all. Something must have happened that even Mandy knew nothing about.I paid leaving something extra for the waiter, I really did enjoy the service here and I was able to keep Philip busy too, what more could I ask for.On getting back to my hotel room, I opened the door to what I suppose was the dumbest and most intense staring game ever."Eh... What is going on?" I asked hanging my coat by the door.
