Three Who is this man?

"Samantha!" She was awakened by the voice she heard.

At first, Samantha didn't pay much attention to it because of her grogginess and the allure of going back to sleep was so tempting, especially with the comfort of the bed pulling her in.

"Samantha!" the voice called out once more.

"What? Can't a person get some more sleep?" Samantha irritably replied, opening her eyes and searching for the source of the voice.

Her eyes widened. There's a man in her room? Samantha quickly sat up, trying to recall where she was.

"B-boss Lexus..." Samantha stammered. How embarrassed she felt at that moment.

"Did you forget? The contract clearly states that you should wake up early, right?" His voice held a hint of warning as he gave her a stern look.

"Hehe, I just got carried away with sleep," she quickly made an excuse while rubbing the back of her neck and avoiding direct eye contact.

‘You're so embarrassing, Sam. What if he decides to send you back there again?’ she reminded herself.

His eyebrows raised. "Get dressed. We have somewhere to go. You should be downstairs in 30 minutes. Don't keep me waiting," he said before leaving the room.

Samantha let out a sigh of relief and quickly made her way to the bathroom to take a shower. She efficiently took care of her grooming routine. She opted for a pair of jeans and a crop top. Once she was satisfied with her appearance, she decided it was time to head downstairs.

In the living room, Samantha spotted Sir Lexus sitting on the couch, engrossed in a magazine.

"Uhm..." Samantha cleared her throat to grab his attention.

"Tsk!" he muttered, standing up and walking directly towards the mansion's double doors. Samantha immediately followed suit.

The two climbed into a different car this time, distinct from the one he had used the previous night. The previous car was red, while the one they were in was black and had a driver.

Both of them sat in the backseat, and Samantha couldn't help but feel awkward, as if she were sitting next to a celebrity. Each time she coughed, it felt like she was infecting him with a virus.

He remained deep in thought, staring out the window while she discreetly stole glances at him. Samantha examined every feature of his face.

It feels as if Samantha was invading his privacy with what she was doing.

Her flirtatiousness vanished when he suddenly looked in her direction. Samantha pretended as if she hadn't done anything and shifted her gaze outside.

Samantha could sense his frown. Next time, she shouldn't let herself fall behind him like this.

Through the reflection in the rearview mirror, she caught sight of the driver, who had a smile on his lips. It seemed he had witnessed her previous behavior. Samantha’s face grew hot, and she adjusted her posture. ‘You're so embarrassing, Sam!’

After a few minutes, they arrived at a mall. As soon as Lexus got out of the car, Samantha hurriedly followed him.

"Is it okay if I go outside? I might be recognized by people looking for me," Samantha asked him. He didn't even look at her as if he were ignoring her. He continued walking.

"Lexus Del Fierro, you're so mean," Samantha whispered to herself. Could she trust his name? Who is this man, really? Who was he?

Samantha decided not to ask any further questions. They entered a clothing shop, and she noticed that there were only a few customers inside.

A smiling woman quickly approached them. "Good morning, Sir! How may I assist you?" the young woman energetically asked, clearly trying to act cute toward her boss.

"Please show us all your latest designs and the most expensive ones," Lexus said in a serious tone.

"Uhm... Sir?" the girl said, sounding confused and wanting to confirm what she had heard from him. Samantha, too, was puzzled.

"Just follow my instructions," he replied, and Samantha noticed the furrow on his forehead as he looked at the girl.

"Yes, sir... Sorry," the girl hastily responded and quickly left them.

They were now seated on a sofa, waiting for all the clothes to be arranged and brought in front of them.

"Here are all our latest designs. Would you like to try them, ma'am?" the girl asked Samantha.

She was taken aback. Samantha couldn't even find the words to respond because she was unsure of what to say.

"Nah, we'll take all of them. Give me size 24," Samantha’s boss said without much enthusiasm.

"Uhm... Okay, sir," the girl hurriedly left again to attend to the clothes.

Samantha turned to her boss immediately. "Are all those clothes for me?" she asked, feeling puzzled.

"Since you always have to accompany me on all my outings, you can't always dress like that," he said, lacking enthusiasm in his tone.

Samantha didn't even inquire, but it felt like he was devouring her alive every time he looked at her.

They were standing in front of the counter, and Samantha had lost track of how much time had passed.

"Three hundred forty thousand pesos for all your purchases, Sir," the cashier said.

Samantha’s jaw dropped at the enormous price she mentioned. ‘Wow, you could practically build a house with that amount,’ she thought.

"Add a pair of high heels and a bag," the young man said, which made her jaw drop even further.

Samantha was stunned. How wealthy was he that he could spend money like that so quickly?

Even the two women behind the counter were left stunned by his statement. No one had ever made such a big purchase in that shop.

They made Samantha sit back on the sofa to measure her feet. She didn’t even know how to wear high heels.

Samantha thought he had said to her, but she didn’t know if she should be happy about that.

"Oh, no! He's not my boyfriend," Samantha denied. Boss Lexus wasn't there; he went outside because he had a phone call.

"Maybe he's your sibling?" the woman asked again.

"Not really, hehehe," Samantha said, feeling embarrassed.

Now they were in the bag section and having Samantha choose a bag. Samantha didn't know anything about bags. And the prices were so high when she saw them. Does she really need to buy such expensive things?

"The woman said that the guy isn't related to her in any way," Samantha overheard the conversation of the saleslady who measured her for sandals earlier.

They had their backs turned to Samantha, so they didn't know she was standing behind a large mirror.

"Maybe she sold her body to the guy in exchange for these things," one of them said. Samantha didn't expect that. Of all the possible reasons, that's what they came up with.

‘Damn it. I’m not like that,’ she wanted to say to them.

"She looks innocent, but I feel like she's a paid companion," another one added.

Samantha walked away from where she was standing. She didn't want to hear their gossip, which was nothing but lies. They just wanted something to say. The truth was that Samantha was a slave to a wealthy man. She would accept whatever they wanted to say as long as she didn’t go back to that place again.

Samantha finished choosing, and they were back at the counter.

"Three hundred seventy pesos in total, sir," the woman said with a smile.

Her boss took out a piece of paper. Samantha saw that it was a check.

"Wait, sir, this is five hundred thousand," the cashier looked surprised at what Lexus handed over.

"Yeah, I'll also pay your boss to get rid of those two," he said, pointing to the two women who were talking about Samantha earlier.

Did he hear them?

Samantha glanced at the two women, and now their faces clearly showed fear.

"Next time, we won't come back here if I see those two faces again. Their job is simply to serve us, not to gossip," her boss angrily said, raising his voice, which scared Samantha, and his gaze towards the two women was piercing. Just one look from him could make someone faint with fear.

It was the first time Samantha saw that side of her boss like he was a demon you wouldn't want to confront or provoke. Samantha finally saw the real Lexus Del Fierro.

They exited the shop, with the driver carrying all the purchases while the rest of the items were already in the car.

"Why did you do that?" Samantha asked her boss.

"They talk too much. That's what I dislike, people who talk too much," he answered, and his annoyance was still evident.

"They might be supporting their families. Haven't you thought about that? Maybe that's the only job that provides for them," Samantha explained.

"Tss, stop meddling with what I am doing. You might want me to send you back where you came from," he threatened her in an angry tone.

Samantha swallowed hard and didn't say anything further. She then realized how he was when he was furious.
