Chapter hundred-thirty

The morning dragged itself into gray. Rain clouds had begun to gather, muting the sunlight and casting long shadows across the apartment which made Eva rush inside, Eva sat curled in the corner of the couch, knees drawn up, a blanket draped around her shoulders like a fragile shield.
