Chapter Sixty Five

The car comes to a stop in front of the public cemetery, and Agatha hopes out, glancing around her to see if anyone had followed her. Thankfully, no one has, so she briskly walks inside the cemetery, pulling her long coat tightly over her to stop the chills from getting to her.

As she walks on, she stares at the array of headstones, at the names of the many deceased, our somewhere so new and some mouldy with old age. And as she moves forward, she comes to a stop before a headstone, that isn’t very new, but not as old as Jessica’s either.

“Hello Xander. Long time no see.” Agatha says with a long drag of breath, stuffing her gloved hands inside her pockets.

As she stares at the grave, she notices the bouquet of prim roses lying on the grave, below the headstone. Most of it is already gone due to the frost, but by the looks of it, Agatha knows it isn’t that old.
