Chapter Twenty Three

She wasn't ready. Nope, she wasn't.

Not for the surprise attack Agatha had in store for her. She was anything but ready.

"A-Agatha maybe we should- slow-slow down?"

"Why? You tired already?" Agatha snapped, making the latter almost curse under her breath. "N-no I just...I don't think we should jump right into a battle before learning."

"Oh really?"

"Yes. Gah!"

Soralina yelped, falling butt first to the floor while her wooden sword broke into two halves, falling a few feet away from her. Before she can even catch her breath, Agatha has her own wooden sword pointed at her face. "You have been learning the same basics for years now. Isn't that enough?"

Soralina gulped, but she understood Agatha's point. Everyone had always gone easy on her because she kept saying she still needed to learn the basics. But she never finished her lesson, so every time she sparred, basics was all she did. She never really battled in one like Agatha, using the excuse of still 'learning the basics.'
