Chapter Twenty Four

Xander had not returned home after that. Not even the next day, or the day after that.

Or for the other day as well.

And no one seems to care. Except Soralina.

While the three Russo’s sat down for breakfast in the fifth morning, Soralina poked her food, looking from Agatha to Gustav as if waiting for them to say something.

Then she glanced at Romeo who stood behind Agatha, then at Gustav’s guard whose name she didn’t remember, and then right behind her at Lucian, who raised a questioning eyebrow.

“Soralina, why aren’t you eating?” Gustav’s voice had the girl almost jumping out of her skin as she stared at him with wide eyes, while the man continued to chew on his food, not even bothering to look at her as if he hadn’t just said something.

“Y-Yes?”

“I asked, why aren’t you eating?”

Soralina looked down at her food, at the untouched plate, before picking up her fork that she had dropped and stabbing into one of the peas and stuffing it into her mouth.
